Almost every language has mixed english with the native language.

English has been so aquantinced to the world

I blame america, lets blame america for everything. Anyway on a serious note, it has become a force of habit. I don't do it often, but sometimes i have to and then i notice i am doing it and kick myself (figuratively speaking). This actually became a habit during university, before then i was a regular paindoo.

Yes we do that - a lot ! :undecided:

I can give my own example; because I think in Urdu but I just don't know the proper words to express myself in that language so I insert an English word to complete the sentence !

I suppose thats one of the drawbacks of the English-Medium Education that most of us are drilled into from day 1; appnii zubaaan paaar command (see !) nahin hotiii aur usss koo sikhneiii kiii chaahhh nahin hotiii ! I mean I appreciate Urdu poetry & prose now but when I was doing my O'levels & before that - I didn't want anything to do with Urdu; didn't like it & saw little to no utility in learning it because everything was 'English...English....English'; whether the classes, the debates, the dramatics, the examinations, the internship interviews, the SATs, the college essays - Everything !

Regrettably I didn't consider Urdu to be that beautiful of a language till I was exposed to Iqbal more deeply than ever before & thats when Faiz, Mir, Dard & Ghalib - all came into the picture & one can't help but appreciate this language for what it is & how limited the English language is.

Maharat nahin I think Ubooor bhii eik lafzzz hotaa thaa; maybe that would be better ! :undecided:

Burger keh liyee yaa Pizza I say things the way they are - Urdu is my mother tongue & the only language I'm fluently conversant in but the literary side of my English is exponentially more developed than Urdu !

Kabhhiii concentrate hii nahin kiyaa iss par !

Plus touuu 'Urdu Speaker' haiii my family friends, originally from Luckhnow, speak fluent Urdu of the literary caliber that makes my head turn around !

Humm logoon kaa ajeeb hisaaab haii; our Urdu is embellished with the occasional word of Punjabi that we don't recognize & a whole lot of words used from English that we use in normal conversations.

By the way my Dad also is irked by this behavior - Agaaar Urdu bolnii haiii tou Urdu bolaa..agar English bolnii hai tou English bolooo yeh donooon kooo milaaa kar kiyun bolteiii hoo ?

First you must start saying "Hisab Daar" instead of "Computer", "Chaabi ka Takhtah" instead of "Keyboard", "Choha" instad of "Mouse" - "Baghair Taar Kay" instead of "Wireless" than come here to criticize

I use english words while talking to Pakistanis because I don't know much Urdu words like for economy, constitution, capital etc. Otherwise I don't use much English words while speaking Hindi.

.
Nothing wrong in mixing, most people mix a few English words which is difficult to translate.
