Why can't Sri Lanka have only one National Anthem in Sanskrit?

What an idiotic thread. Why should SL take suggestion from an person living in fantasy. Its doing just fine.

FYI: Indian anthem is in Bengali.
Care to tell me which part of it is bengali.....show me one word which is not in sanskrit but pure bengali...just one word

Hey Dude, respectfully GTFO. No one cares for your shitty sanskrit in the modern world. Sri Lanka is a sovereign nation and let them deal with what they want to sing as an anthem.

Every bit of it is in Bengali, as i have already told you, not the Bengali you routinely hear these days, it is composed in a sanskritized form of Bengali known as Shadhu Bhasha or Tatsam Bangla.

Now your turn to answer. As you have claimed that the Bengali version has been changed to Hindi incorporating Sanskrit words please let us know who was the person to undertake the endeavour. Who is credited for the Bengali to Hindi/Sanskrit translation? Take your own sweet time before coming up with an answer.

I didnt say it was converted to hindi...i simply said we sing it in sanskrit and not in bengali..we dont say bidhata , shindhu or bharato ponjobo etc etc

Pronounciations may vary according to the region, the Bengalis sing in their tone, the Mizos in a bit of an anglicised way, and we Assamese struggle a bit with the shuddh hindi pronounciation (at least in my case). But that doesn't take away the fact that the words in our Anthem are Bengali(derived from Sanskrit).

Mizo girl singing our national anthem.

No bro....though it was originally written in bengali it was later modified to sanskrit...for example in bengali it bharato bhagyo bidhata
Small modifications. But the language is predominantly Bengali with slight modification in some words. Calling it Sanskrit is not right.

Bengali, Hindi and Sanskrit are identical languages. There is a negligible difference in pronounciation of the words in Bengali and Sanskrit that's why we can't distinguish between them. It is true that the national anthem was written in highly sanskritized language, but still there is a negligible difference.

Because Sri Lanka has a policy of loaning words from sanskrit....if they were to coin any new word, the first language they look at is sanskrit...
Tamils in SL have a problem reciting the anthrm in sinhala...so sanskrit anthem would be acceptable even to tamils
And that's your problem, how?

It's not a big problem, and you don't see anyone protesting over it, because it's not a big issue.

Who cares what language it's in.
