India is an economic power house, let's not take anything away from them, the Indian middle class are miles ahead of anything we will have in the next 10 years..


That said, coming slow to the race has its advantages, we just take the good things the Indians have done and try not to repeat their mistakes.

Yes, the upper middle class, especially the kind that come abroad to work in respectable white collar Jobs, these are the folks that propel India forward, we need such people and millions of them.

It's already happening. Bangladeshi expats are already working their way up in White collar roles, most having been educated abroad. Lot of Bangladeshis working in mid to senior level management roles.

It's not just Indians, we should look up to Pakistani expats too here in Canada and US. They have done really well for them in corporate world with many in high ranking positions. It will happen to Bangladeshis as well. Needs time and the quality of education to be better at home.

Most Bangladeshis are too lazy to do any proper research and instead love spreading touchy rumours and the above notion floating around for years is a result of it.
These officers belong to the PLA which is an arm of PLO lead by Mahmoud Abbas. PLO's main objective is to keep peace in Palestine which is mostly achieved by keeping Hamas in check and pushing for a peace deal with Israel.
They do not counter IDF militarily.

PLO is a blessing for Israel. There is no reason for Israel to hurt PLA.

I think @DalalErMaNodi is talking about the Indian educated upper middle class probably.

People whose kids go to private boarding schools like the Doon School in Dehradun (or others in Hill stations like Darjeeling) and their parents are either high grade intellectuals (professors, academics, captains of industry) or at the least ICS/IPS officers for several generations. Most are inevitably well-exposed, cosmopolitan and trained in Western academic institutions.

Not like the trash that are running Indian leadership now.

India has built tens of barrages around BD with its own money and technology. Indian mechanical technology remains inferior to the Chinese ones. But, it is moving upwards because Indian mechanical engineers can develop and design most of the machines and machine parts by themselves.

How about our Golden BD? When BD civil and mechanical engineers are able to do this kind of thing, only then BD brats in the PDF should celebrate. Indian GDP has contracted in the last few years, but, it is coming up again, and in a few years its GDP will surpass $3 trillion. Unlike the GDP figures in BD, India does not use its statistics to inflate the GDP figures.

India is trying to be self-reliant and BD is to depend upon foreign donations and assistance. India remains behind China because it has too much democracy and bickering over elections while China is a one-party demonic country.

However, India remains one country under a democratic system whereas China will probably crumble to many pieces without its one-party communist rule.

Human resource Capital of both India and Bangladesh is identical.....Both have the capacity to break the low middle income benchmark ($5,000 per capita nominal) ...May be both can sail past the middle middle income territorry but it's a longshot ($10,000 GDP per capita nominal)...None of them will be able to break the high middle income ($15k GDP per capita nominal) or high income ($20k per Capita nominal) in the forseeable future or the next 100 years


Still this means Bangladesh has very good chance to be a trillion dollar economy and India a 10 Trillion dollar one ...If that happens it happens by 2040 or never....You need a national urge, inertia or momentum to get that level of development done...It just doesnot happen in a business as usual way


Whatever India or Bangladesh achieves in terms of development, the other will achieve too...The only compeition is who reaches the various development milestones first..........


India and Bangladesh are locked in a development race the same way USA and USSR were locked in the space race from end of second world war to early 70s...

And frankly I love it that we have some serious competition in our neighbourhood who will keep us honest....It's very hard to develop if the neighbourhood has underdeveloped economies.....
