-What is there to be proud of?
Do you look at your mother and ask the same question? No? Why do you then question the motherland that gave birth to you and your people. The very soil of who's is mixed with the sweat, tears and blood of your ancestors. I have seen many places, but never has my heart felt at home then in Pakistan. Maybe being born and raised in another country has made it difficult to feel that connection for you?
-What has pakistan done for its average citizens?
The land isn't at fault for the failure of governments. On the contrary, the fact that the governemnt fails in its duty, makes me want to try even harder to serve this country as much as I can, and improve the lives of my countrymen. Even if many of them hate me, and some wish me death.
pakistan seems like its been a play ground for a handful of elite families that probably number in few 100?
The world is based on a hierarchy, and one could say the whole world is their playground. That does not take away from the fact that all of us on this world must strive to make the world a better place. You need to start that with your own country first.
Why are you loyal to Pakistan?
Because it's my home, and the home of my ancestors. It is the place where I feel I truly belong. Also, being loyal to it is part of my faith. I am not loyal to it because I hate India or any other country. I am loyal to it because it's my home. If you were only patriotic because of hatred for India, then maybe you need to rethink your priorities.
