What's new

Why are you a proud and patriotic Pakistani?

Brother no country is perfect. If you compare all the countries with Pakistan, we are still better than many but you are right way too much corruption and injustice.
Bro if you want to compare us to South Sudan, Somalia and yemen then yes we are far better.
Pakistan is our identity and as men we should strive to make our country as we envision it to be.
It’s been 70 years bro.. how much more do these poor people have to wait??
Who are they waiting to make this country great??
It is our identity but it is nothing to be proud of.. Pakistan has achieved nothing atleast nothing for its ordinary citizens.
Btw it's good to see you back.
Thanks

You seem to have developed anxiety and depression related issues, this uni-directional negative line of thinking is a classic sign of these psychological issues.
Thanks bro... becuase I thought for some odd reason that everything I stated Was real and serious issues..
I guess it’s all in my head and Pakistan is literally jannah for the 200 poor souls stuck there.

Because it wws created in the name of islam and Allah and his messenger. It makes us a true nation connected with all Muslims.

Only this reason is enough.
Doesn’t look like it was created for tht reason...

.
So does that justify what’s happening in Pakistan?? My friend I will post just a few videos and you will see what is really pakistan.. I chose to ignore these things because of my bias before.

that’s a great line to fool people..... 70 years after Pakistan was created.
All countries take birth from chaos. There were many countries born around the same time as Pakistan and many countries who were much poorer then Pakistan but they are developed and thriving today and their citizens have “basic” writes like being able to criticize a judge without being thrown in jail.

I would definitely say this is pakistan was created 10-15 years ago..
But the poor souls who died and created this country have mostly passed away and their kids have grown up in this and and are also passing away of old age, sickness and poverty.
The people who created Pakistan didn’t expect their kids to be 70 years old and still living in extreme poverty and injustice......

You are crazy
I just hope people wake and start smelling the coffee....
I don’t have an agenda as of now just questions nor am I able to even do anything so don’t they “intelligence” agencies on me . Becuase I know the basic right of free speech does not exist in Pakistan.

No problem

You talk about poverty and injustice. Which nation didn't go through this phase? Every nation did.

Other nations are more developed? So what. They were also poor, full of injustice and corruption... the difference is that their people didn't let that get in the way of their love for their land, struggle and freedom. So they pulled through.

I am not telling you to not question the injustice, or poverty. But don't let it make you lose grip to reality. A nation doesn't become great overnight on its own. People have to work for it, and you're part of the group.

Save us the emotions. They help no one. You, and every other citizen, is as much part of the solution as they're part of the problem.

I have never asked myself why do I love Pakistan. It would be like asking myself why do I love my mother.

It's like cursing your own family and home.
"Why was I born poor, why did my siblings had to endure this?"

Fits perfectly. Hope OP understands the analogy.

OP doesn't realize that we're responsible for where we are. He needs to let go of his victim mentality. The nation isn't a supreme being, it is what you make of it.

And if you're not proud of Pakistan's identity, that means you're not proud of the blood and effort people had put in and sacrificed for its independence.

.
Bro few simple questions if you can answer these to your ownself then might have the answer of the question you have asked
Ok
Are you ashamed of your existence or proud of your existence .... ??
Why would I be ashamed of existing as a human being?
What do I have to be proud of?
I haven’t invented nothing
I have just been living a normal live work, family and friends and a little fun.
I’ll be proud of my existence the day I do something great.
You associate yourself to what state of existence .... ???
Normal one..?.......?
the-source-of-the-confused-young-meme-may-be-even-funnier-than-the-meme-itself

Do you blame yourself for the wrongdoing of wrong ones or you do right thing for right causes ???

I’m not sure I understand what you are asking.

I have never asked myself why do I love Pakistan. It would be like asking myself why do I love my mother.
Lmao...
so if your mother never fed you and beat you all the time would you still love her?

. .
Few questions I have that really have started to bother me and I want other people’s opinion:
-What is there to be proud of?
-What has pakistan done for its average citizens?
-pakistan seems like its been a play ground for a handful of elite families that probably number in few 100?
-Why are you loyal to Pakistan?
Few thoughts:

I used to be a very proud and anti Indian and highly patriotic Pakistani.
over the past several years I am starting to feel like Pakistan is a sham and a fraud..it might’ve had noble beginnings but Pakistan has never been a country that has been able to provide justice to a ordinary Pakistani citizen for its entire existence without the following ( not justice just a way to make their miserable life’s better)
- a phone call To some elitist or an elitist goon.
- bribe
I do not see Pakistan changing for the the better unless a major uprising by its peasant class the 99.9999 percent whos only purpose is to be born and live a miserable live and die including members of my own family...

im not Indian, I was born in Pakistan raised in America.

Do you hear the azan 5 times in the USA?

.
Pakistan is a sham and a fraud

Dear Original Poster, It can become easy for expats to forget the true meaning of the nation state of Pakistan. You can easily flourish in US/UK but for the people here in the South Asia, the other possibility was to live with the numerically superior Hindu idolaters.

This nation was made out of utmost necessity. The patriotism, and pride that you look for needs to be a secondary priority.

For example, the Israelis feel patriotic due to their feeling of being a chosen race/religion and their struggle against hostile neighbours. Should Pakistan do the same? It depends....Each and every Pakistani feels patriotic for different reasons. Some people are proud of the armed forces, some take pride in their religion, some in their culture and so on....

Patriotism and pride is something that is needed only to sustain a "Nation State". Some nations need it, some function without it and become economic powers.

So in short, no one gives the first sh*t if you dont feel patriotic anymore. This is because, it is an imaginary construct that is only needed by the Pakistanis living INSIDE OF PAKISTAN to survive.

give it another and think deep ....

.
Because it is my soil... and my soul..
My ancestors are buried here, its rivers have given us life.. its soil has given us shelter and freedom.
the land always existed so did the rivers, your ancestors lived in a placed called something else not pakistan
Because my ancestors, my family have given blood for this soil..
so has mines and they received only poverty and injustice in return for the last 70 years
because I love its mountains, its lush green plains, its deserts, its majestic rivers and lakes.. its people are my kin.
I dont need any reason to love the Pakistani soil..
the mountains and soil are no acheivement of this state, they were always there so were the people
And I was born, raised and will be buried here..
i dont think you undertand what im trying say.
while you have lived your life in US, your and our worlds are different.
i seen both worlds and countries...exprienced and lived in both... america is better in every way shape and form... they can proud of everything pakistanis on the other hand did nothing... they have nothing to be proud of.

The questions he raised are true for most of the world .. including america..
dont include america in that...
poverty in pakistan and america is very 2 different things..
a middle class family in pakistan would be considered poor in america.
Do we not see a few Americans controlling their economy while homeless are sleeping in parking lots?
those are drug addicts....nobody is homeless beucase of real poverty they are homeless becuase of their first world habits of doing crack and heroin btw even the homeless in america have more money then a middle class family in pakistan sometimes and they even eat better food sometimes
dont get it twisted.
Do we not see racism?
yes there is still some racism around but very little.
How the black boy Ahmaud was shot and it took months and a viral video to even arrest the culprits?
ahmaud was not a jogger lol, this is just the democractic party trying to create a divide the man was running in cargo shorts?? there are too many things about the case people dont know.. ive seen the video and heard both arguments so dont talk about stuff you have no knowledge of..
Do we not see wealth inequality and the pathetic american med system ?
nobody is ever denied health care in america..
its just not a universal health care with one payer... again dont speak of things you have no clue of... the american health care insurance system might not be all that but the healthcare america give is the best in the world and majority of the world looks to america for medical advancement...
Every country has flaws... what matters is what you make of yourself and what you do to better the conditions for yourself and your people.
yes every country does... there are pros and cons
but show me the pros of being a pakistani citizen.... ill be waiting for this one im sure you wont make it.

give it another and think deep ....
ill pass

It's hard to express or summarise, it's my country, my people, and a sense of Pakistaniat was instilled since childhood. Religious tarbiyat further instilled the idea of Pakistan but not in the same way that religion was mixed with statecraft in history. I also see immense potential, unrealised and latent talent. I want to see Pakistan improve. And also despite living abroad I still feel very much Pakistani.

However, my experiences have also opened my eyes to problems with Pakistan and Pakistanis. Leave that for another discussion, but there's a lot to be said here.

.
-What is there to be proud of?
-What has pakistan done for its average citizens?
-pakistan seems like its been a play ground for a handful of elite families that probably number in few 100?

Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. A glass can be half filled, half empty or both, depending upon how one describes it. I put myself in the realistic ones and from what I observed, you are probably having a pessimistic tone.
You have asked about the pros so I might sound biased but that is to satisfy the question.
  1. The mere creation, existence and survival is nothing less of an achievement for Pakistan. Let's start with that. Yes, there are certainly a lot of population who isbetter off than us but likewise, there is also a lot of population worse than us.
  2. Provided a place to practice your religion. Provided you an arguably access to living a humble, dignified and good life.
  3. I chose to be loyal to Pakistan. No particular reason. Perhaps, because I have affiliation with the land.
only purpose is to be born and live a miserable live and die including members of my own family...
That is your opinion.

There were many countries born around the same time as Pakistan and many countries who were much poorer then Pakistan but they are developed and thriving today and their citizens have “basic” writes like being able to criticize a judge without being thrown in jail.
And there are many countries also gone in the opposite direction. Are you looking for reasons to leave/hate Pakistan or love it?

Becuase I know the basic right of free speech does not exist in Pakistan.
There are always limits to freedom of expression and speech everywhere. Though, it varies from place to place. But there is nothing as absolute freedom of speech. I guess basic right of free speech never exists in its true form.

It’s been 70 years bro.. how much more do these poor people have to wait??
They will have to keep waiting until they themselves don't change. Gog and Magog are waiting since I don't know how many years till they finally get out. There is no specific time for most things. We can not know a precise time frame.

It is our identity but it is nothing to be proud of.. Pakistan has achieved nothing atleast nothing for its ordinary citizens.
Again, that is how you perceive things.

I’ll be proud of my existence the day I do something great.
Everyone has different definition of being proud. I will be contended if I live a normal, pious life and die as a Muslim.

so if your mother never fed you and beat you all the time would you still love her?
My mother would still be my responsibility and I will have to fulfill my duties towards her.

i seen both worlds and countries...exprienced and lived in both... america is better in every way shape and form... they can proud of everything pakistanis on the other hand did nothing... they have nothing to be proud of.
Ok.

a middle class family in pakistan would be considered poor in america.
Does that mean we start hating Pakistan? Many European nations are better than America so Americans should leave and start disliking their motherland or country.

yes there is still some racism around but very little.
So, how bad is bad and how much good is good? Just because the severity or amplitude is different doesn't remove the con. Its like saying if there are 2 people to be killed and you must free one of them, now the first person has killed 1000 innocent people and another has killed, let's say 50 innocent people including your parents and children. I wonder who would you set free? Probably the 50 one right cause he has relatively killed little? so you must be hating the 1000 more.

Anyway, you are free to hold your personal beliefs and thoughts. Just found this good video so sharing.
A Hadith too:
The world is a prison-house for a believer and Paradise for a non-believer.

Dude the country you live in centuries old. We are 79 years old. A new young country in terms of age.
And we are evolving. We had good Times. We had bad times but we go strong.
Talking about nepotism dude. It's usually practiced by people like you or rich people.
Like every society has some good aspects and some bad aspects. The same pakistan has good and bad aspects. That does not give the right to question a nation.
You must question your USA where child shootings are so common. Rape is the hugest in the world.
