Why are the Afghan Taliban listening to Pakistan?

Thanks.
If you've got something to say I think you should say it clearly because otherwise people may not get the true meaning of what you want to say.
However, I do agree with you and I think there's a lot of weight in your argument.
The Americans over the years have taken undue advantage of their power and wealth and countries are waking up to this and are looking for alternatives. In the coming years I think we will see a lot of countries drifting into other camps to better leverage their position much the same as the Pakistanis have done with China.
Well sometimes I leave it vague because a few things are better off left unsaid. However I will be slightly clearer next time in most things. Will try at least.

Dr. Shahid Masood mentioned in his latest t.v program that one thing that must be acknowledged is that the main reason the Americans are interested in getting Pakistan's help with the problem of the Afghan Taliban is because the Afghan Taliban are willing to listen to Pakistan.

This is despite the fact that the Afghan government is vehemently opposed to Pakistan and is pro India. Yet they are virtually being ignored in terms of the Afghan peace process.

So my question is why are the Afghan Taliban willing to listen to Pakistan when they easily could directly negotiate given that they brought the Americans to the table through a long hard military resistance?
IK answered your question in his US talk , he have been calling for political settlement for years and was against the war, now that everyone have accepted that war is not gonna end well and peaceful talk is the only way out, the one person who have stood by his views (IK) despite being ridiculed by most will have some credibility in what he says, thats why they want to meet IK

Not sure if this answers your question
