true... anonymity seems to bring out hidden evils... off-line, those can potentially be handled by police, so there is hesitation... also, most users of internet forums or facebook/youtube comment sections are young people ( 13 to 25 ) and they do not hesitate in using foul language or aggression because their school and college environments are uncontrolled about language.

note, these same aggressive people would not be politically active in their schools/college/job in a good way, by creating student union or employee union based in socialism.

no, 99.99 percent of these mean, aggressive people in on-line forums have no power and influence on the off-line world... in off-line, they are followers of criminal activity in teen male gangs, religious reactionary groups etc... they may invite someone from on-line to off-line for a fight or they may use internet to propagate their off-line criminality but the mean ones are never the ones who will contribute in good ways to the world.



before pdf, i had been at only two forums, and those were proper socialist forums with mature people... in one of the two, we used the forum for off-line political activities... so i was among dedicated political participants.

well, sometimes power corrupts... i knew a young chap who left the student wing of a communist party in kerala state, because the student wing had become a personal militia thing for some of its members and had gone away from the movement ideals.

I love the anonymity internet provides especially in forums like this... what is the point of being nice always... lot of our adult life spent on lying to other people to remain social...


some people get burnt because they did not follow basic rules... like sharing real pics or address...
