I know it's hard times for Pakistan as a nation so they don't expect anyone else to be confident about their abilities. And specially Indians. Not everywhere it's dark and gloomy.

Let's say why Indians are optimistic/over confident? All most all the banking corporations, financial firms, economic forums, economists are saying 'India would be 2nd/3rd biggest economy by 2040/2050.

The only thing dragging India right now is poverty and hardly functioning infrastructure. Right now India lifts 15-20 million our of poverty. and is investing or gonna invest heavily in infrastructure project in next 5-10 years.

With growing economic might, India is also improving its' arsenal, modernising its armed forces and growing its military force.

With growing economy and military force it is only obvious that India will have greater sphere of influence and soft power.

So why shouldn't Indians be over confident? Apparently India's a next big thing.

The issue with the present and coming several governments is that the people in India are getting used to the growth of >7% ... We dont want to see this slowing down and most probably will not let it go down...The confidence comes from this determination..

Its only in PDF where Indians even talk that they have progressed with such fervor. Live with us and you will know Indians are generally worried about the ruling govt. they are worried about the corruption, they are worried about the lack of key decisions being put in freezer however, we are confident that there will be a change after the next elections. We have confidence in our system, which despite taking the beating from corrupt politicians is able to atleast prevent more harm that would have happened. Record no of scandals are coming out into the open, which thanks to a law called RTI enacted.. this is our success story.. We are changing but slowly for now and we have confidence that we will keep transforming our country.. We do not proscribe to chest thumping generally..
