Why are Indians more amicable towards pakistan?

Indian by nature are very sweet to your face and very cunning behind your back, so i dont go by their word I see actions on the ground in India, showing strong hostality towards Pakistan and Pakistanis. Its like I said in one of the posts when Indian say RIP to deads in bomb blast in Pakistan, you dont know if they mean "REST IN PIECE" or "RIPPED IN PIECES"

Peace between these two countries is ideal, and why shouldnt one want peace among human? But Im not sure if it is practical, either accept it or not, religion does play a role, Conflict between polytheist and Muslims is quite old, from age of prophet Noah, to prophet Ibrahim, to prophet Mosa, to prophet Muhammad (saw) (peace be upon them all), and it seems it will keep on going till this world is destroyed by the will of God.

I think before we Muslims go in to deal with mushriks/polytheists/Hindus, both sides need to consider this aspect of humanity.

India does not equate to hindu. India is not a hindu nation, it is a secular republic. It has some of the biggest populations of other religions too, in the whole world. It is one of the biggest muslim nations, the biggest Sikh nation, the biggest jain nation, and more. We also have tens of millions of Christians and Buddhists and others.

By the way, most hindus are not polytheists. There are polytheistic hindus, monotheistic hindus (the majority), henotheistic hindus, kathenotheistic hindus (especially in the days of the Vedic religion), monistic hindus (most clearly defined in advaita Vedanta - and as many would argue, monism is possibly the most powerful and philosophically influential version of hinduism) and even atheistic hindus (charvaka, mimamsa, samkhya and ajivika schools of hindu philosophy). Hinduism is really not one single religion, comparable to the Abrahamic religions. It is an all encompassing term for several philosophical schools of thought that grew in the subcontinent over millennia.

Also, your characterization of conflicts "between monotheists and polytheists since ages" is really unfounded. Most of the conflicts have been, and continue to be, between monotheists and monotheists. Has it never occurred to you that muslim-christian conflicts, muslim-jewish conflicts etc have occurred throughout the history of these religions? Why suddenly make it seem like an ancient conflict between monotheists and polytheists, when Israel and the Arab world and Iran are in a much more combustible situation, when terms like "crusades" and "jihads" and "holy wars" have been invented primarily to describe war between monotheists? There were no polytheists in the crusades, were there? When many muslim groups today call for jihad against USA, they don't have polytheists in mind, do they? None of the wars in Europe between muslims and Christians throughout the past millennium involved any polytheists, did they?

Anyway all that is irrelevant since, as I said before, India is a secular republic, and does not view its geopolitics or conflicts through the lens of religion. If others around us do so, we cannot help that. Whoever initiates a conflict with India, whether for religious reasons or some other reason, will be dealt with in the same manner. Our soldiers are only taught to distinguish friend and foe, not polytheists and monotheists. Our soldiers themselves may be polytheists or monotheists or monists or atheists in their personal beliefs, which is irrelevant to their soldiering.

I wish that the Indian members on this forum would be more amicable towards the Chinese most China bashing threads on this forum are started by Indians, if there is a China bashing thread on this forum you can almost be certain that its started by a Indian member. While in comparison very few of the Indian bashing threads are started by the Chinese members.

LOL, that's because they have outsourced that work to you-know-who.

Indians are overworked in this regard, they have to start all the Pakistan bashing threads as well as china bashing ones. Indian posters are constantly engaged in a "two front war" on PDF, you see. While Pakistani members do the bulk of the fighting against Indian members, Chinese members offer light support. Just like a hypothetical two front war in the subcontinent might play out.

(All that is meant to be taken light heartedly. I'm not being serious.)

Indians amicable towards Pakistanis?

Either you don't know what amicable means or you are a ******* good at trolling!

I notice a trend here and elsewhere and I am not objecting to it per say- But I find most Indians being being very amicable and putting out their hand towards acceptance towards Pakistanis. Given the realities of the sordid history and present relationship among you two- I am curious as to why such a sentiment.

Let me give you one example among several here that I saw lately.

A poster started a thread about " what would be your version of a similar NATO alliance". I noticed several Indians adding pakistan in the mix of countries.

Now if you look at it objectively, academically with no bias rather solely on the merits. Having pakistan as part of such an agreement holds no strategic value towards such groupings. NATO like alliances are foremost among developed countries or in your case ( region) projected to be developed countries with assets ( be it military, geographic locations) worthy of challenging the REAL NATO alliance. Having a military industrial complex that can build indigenous, high value military products or are projected in the coming decade. None of this exists with Pakistan- so how you justify an honest assessment for your region with having them in it?

alternatively- every Pakistani who posted in that thread side stepped India in their " desired grouping of countries " to fall under such NATO LIKE alliance. Frankly I would not be off base in saying, they don't really care about alliances with Indians

again- my question is purely academic and I asked it here because it is a defense related alliance primarily .

How ironic...if india is suffering than it is not strong, and if it is strong then it definitely is not suffering......stop playing victim you eternal cribbing crying bunch.

That's the reason Indians are suffering despite of being strong and bigger nation.

In 1999 you know how close India and Pakistan were to normalizing the relationship and you also know who was back stabbed.
Now tell me one instance where India has done that to Pakistan.

Am not trolling just want to know your perspective.(If u have a list of India backtracking then please do mention them)
