Hi,

I hope that you guys remember that about a decade or more ago I stated on this very forum that to compete with the western 5th gen aircraft, the opponents will have to come out with better BVR missiles that can track and shoot down the 5th gen aircraft.

The chinese cannot compete with the american 5th gen aircrafts technology---but they can definitely come up with a much much more potent bvr missile that can find a stealth aircraft and take it down---.

From the chinese it will come down to the Paf to keep itself ahead of the game.

Ward Caroll is an ex Tomcat Rio---he has one of the best videos on you tube on air to air combat

Here is an interesting video.

And while the pilot is trying to avoid the missile coming at it---he is going thru very high G's

here is a video of what happens during high G's

Isn't the point of stealth to be undetectable by radar? If they can't be detected what use is a better BVR missile?

Another important thing is AI...

Now, AI is the manifestation of the collective human intelligence channeled toward the machine. And, here the out of the box thinking and tricks, associated with the poor folks, against the rich comes into the play. A case being a PAF mirage pilot outfoxing a USN aircraft carrier defense!

According to Selchuk Bayraktar, the designer of the battle proven (against the Russians) TB2 and Akinji UAVs, his AI driven MIUS unmanned combat jets will be low observable and low cost! And, he wants them to be battle proven against the Western systems this time.....

It takes a lot of effort , time and enormous amount of money to develop a stealth aircraft.

It takes relatively a lot less to develop radar and associated defenses to defeat the stealth aircraft.

The skies will belong to one, who can take our enemy airfields as fast as possible.
Guided missiles ( cruise or MRLS ) can do wonders in the first few hours.

True, notching also comes into play

Only useful against Doppler based systems.
You can't even sometimes get a lock on non-stealth aircrafts if they have good Jammers installed

exactly right. Even hiding in terrain like mountains or obscured from radar view. Even small 4th generation fighters are quite stealthy sometimes. RCS is important and the relation to detection is exponential.
