Who'll Buy This Fulcrum Now?

i am surprised to see people downgrading the capability of this fighter....
let russian decide to sell it to pakistan , will sand shivers into IAF spine ..

You need money to buy.

.
PAF should accept their this offer
What "offer" are you talking about? Russians have never dealt with Pakistanis at such a broad scale. Not to mention, some of your own people still gloat over the soviet collapse and consider it sponsored chiefly by Pakistan.

. . . .
why are all dragging pakistan into this??
i know there are couple of fan boys who just want to get every plane they see but doesn't mean or change anything!

PAF is concentrating on JFT, F-16 and J-10B. thats the truth accept it or not!
so no more PAF talk in this thread...

don't you think russia can offer it at friendship price to pakistan to get into new market..
anyway mig-35 is only little more to j-10 in price , don't you think pakistan can manage to pay that little more amount to russians to get a new war partner...

Dont think so , because then China would lose a valuable portion of the market , they have plans to sell the J20 too so they would resist Pakistan going for Russian stuff - and they have a lot of leverage considering Pakistan is their all weather ally. Also they will be concerned about Russian support and spare supply during conflict times , add to that the logistical nightmare of Inducting aircrafts from three industries - U.S , China and now Russia . Their policy has been to progressively reduce aircraft platforms to 2 or 3 major ones ( JF 17 , J -10 B and F 16 )...

On the other hand , India's deals with Russia is not confined to a single aircraft deal. They include an air craft carrier, the FGFA , Brahmos 2 , Lease of a nuke sub ...the number of defence contracts is staggering . Both sides would never lose such a lucrative buyer-seller relationship on account of one sour deal...

.
That is not exactly true.

the airframes would be new, longer life and new construction standards.
higher servicability and lower maintainance.

in broader terms however I think you are right in that is what IAF thought.

they probably said to themselves "we already have this plane" let's invest in something ... different.

Yes , of course ...higher shelf life , better maintainance and service support. But those points have traditionally been the Russian industries weak points . Compared to that any of the other contenders would be a better choice insofar as those parameters are concerned. But the Critical components - that would really give us an edge over our adverseries are EW , Avionics package , weapons , capability for upgrades etc. In these areas Mig scores are definitely lower than say EF or Rafale ..Of course the best being Super Hornet but its out of the Race .

inplace of saying let russian sell mig-35 to anybody we can manage...you are relying on the assumption that russia will never sell it to pakistan...

We can manage yeah ,Wasn't implying a lack of confidence but If that happens

Indo- Russian relationship will be affected , anyways as my point goes according to current geo-politics its highly improbable.......

.
Mig-35 shows us that an upgraded version can not do business in today's market. You have to bring something new and innovative.

.
China Maybe
