Who is the Mightier – Chinese Dragon or India’s Elephant?

Indian economy is more than ten times the size of Pakistan's, while Chinese economy is 4.8 times that of India's.
Indian defense budget is 6 times the size of Pakistan's, where as Chinese defense budget 3.5 times the size of India's.
Indian and Chinese armed are of equal size, while Pakistan's is less than half of India's.

So how can there be a comparison between India and Pakistan, if there is no comparison between India and China ??

oh we are doing this stupid stuff again,

map the US GDP is 20 trillion oh my God india is like USA, the US military is nothing compared to India..... to look bigger why don’t you compare India’s GDP woth Afghanistan.......

Indians have ONLY BEEN ABLE TO COMPARE THEMSELVES MILITARILY TO PAKISTAN. They both use to maintain a 2:1 ratio against each other! This ratio is quickly dropping to 2:1.8 against air forces, 2:1.6 in army equipment and capability 2:1.8 in terms of navy by 2025!

So a third world 1/7th the size of country constrained India With it’s tiny tiny budget.
Imagine what will Pakistan do due to CPEC when 70% of China’s exports and imports go via Pakistan. Imagine what we will do with that extra cash?

China is a mega thermonuclear superpower with a known stockpile of 294 megatons since the 1970's
India has only approx. 1 megaton.
China economy will soon be 6X that of India.
Today India News Media is comparing its newly acquired Rafale to China J-20.
I can only shake my head in disbelief. :coffee:

The sum of the military budget is one issue, and how to use it efficiently is another issue.

India’s inefficiency in military procurement is world-renowned.
It costs $5 billion to get a barely usable aircraft carrier. Spend 240 million to buy a fourth-generation fighter, and the combat capability may only be slightly better than the 20 million JF17 blk3.

Obtained expensive equipment from many countries, but could not be integrated, which also brought huge pressure on logistics.

The size of the army is too large, the technical level is low, and the training is insufficient. Most of them are not like modern military forces, but more like colonial security forces.

The two most developed economic nations of Asia – India and China – have again come in a face-off situation, this time at the borders. The tense situation along territorial boundaries of both countries have brought into focus the military strength of both (if in case war-like situations arise).

The armies of both countries saw a bloody clash recently in Galwan valley. “Who is mightier than the other?” is the question that probably is the talk of the town. Let us compare the military strength of the two nations point by point.

  1. China has an annual defense budget of $179 billion in comparison to India’s annual defense budget which is just under $67 billion. As per the figures available with BRICS, China accounts for $14.14 trillion nominal gross domestic product (GDP) while India has $2.94 trillion nominal GDP.
  2. Recent data published by the Swedish think tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), China possesses 320 nuclear warheads. India owns 150 nuclear arsenals.

  1. According to Global Fire Power, an online portal that provides analytical data of military power, China seems to have an edge over India in terms of the number of ground forces and military arsenal.
  2. Going by Chinese Defense White Paper, China has two types of nuclear-powered attack submarines in service, having second nuclear strike capability. India has recently built in second-strike capability with commissioning of indegenous Arihant-class nuclear submarine.
To counter nuclear power of China, India has taken INS Chakra on a 10 year lease from Russia.

China had the largest active military force in the world, with about 2.18 million active troops in 2020. The count for India falls far below from that of China. However, a study conducted by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School said that India has key under-appreciated conventional advantages that reduce its vulnerability to Chinese threats and attacks. But the question of difference in military strength remains unanswered.

Does this really need to be asked?

India can't even build toilets.

Who needs toilets when you've got rivers, streets, and open areas to go to the restroom in :enjoy: .

That's true, travelled to Mumbai in Nov/Dec was on the train and all you can see are slums, and people taking a bottle of water and squatting on the side of the tracks.

Why would you travel to Mumbai? Is your goal to see poverty and slums first hand and to experience dysentery/diahherea/malaria/any tropical disease you can think of?

Indian economy is only on papers. Where is Indian money being spent? Why living conditions of Indian commoners are worst in the world?

You are not allowed even to compare yourself with any of your neighbors. They all have better living standards for their commoners.

Having world's largest slums, you place yourself as developed country. A country which cannot manufacture toilets for its people dares to compare itself with world's most powerful country - China.

Their insane and corrupt leadership is always on weapons buying spree from which they make money and transfer it into their personal account.

The toys they buy from various weapon suppliers, their armed forces do not know how to use them.

Most recent example is use of Spice 2000 bought from Israel on Balakot "target" during IAF so called surgical air strike. The bombs deployed hit trees in the forest and on crow got killed. Animal Protection organizations and environmental control organizations must take notice of IAF cruel action.

That is not enough, they even hit their copter with their own air defense missile, killing number of soldiers on board.

In spite of having Su-30MKIs, Mirage 2000 and Mig-29s, they could not stop PAF retaliation. They just ran away without putting any resistance, loosing 1 Mig-21 and 1 Su-30MKI.

Meanwhile Indian army was facing continuous precision attacks and lost more than hundred soldiers.

Indian Navy did not left themselves behind. Claiming to be most formidable Navy in Indian Ocean, went into panic attack after loosing track of one of Pakistani Submarine. Then one of their own submarine got caught while trying to enter Pakistani water.

They cannot even match Pakistani Armed forces and trying to compare themselves with Chinese might.

You do know that India's economy has tanked, the latest figures are -23.9%. And yet Indians brag about how wonderful they are.

Just go to Mumbai and as the plane approaches the runway look out the window and all you can see is slums, and slums.

It doesn't matter whether water is one feet above nose or one meter for a drowning man ..

China is the real world equivalent of Targaryen empire when the dragons are still relatively young but as time goes on dragons will get bigger. Comparing India with China is like comparing some insignificant house with Targaryens. When the dragons are fully grown it's a cake walk to invade the whole world.

So you accept that you are drowning in your own illusions and false beliefs______
