gregarian calendar to islamic calendar.
social welfare to be setup even for dogs/cats. omars law.
education in your own language and so on.

Sorry but this is where all the problem starts in Muslim world... Secterianism... This is the thing that creates big obstacles between every each one of us and cause clashes...

taking this just one step further.. just as sectarianism creates a problem inside muslims,
religious divide is causing trouble between humans

when you say shia/sunni it has now created a rift between muslims
when you say muslim/christian, it has created a rift between humans

by belittling others for whatever they are (pagan/christian/jew/muslim) a divide is created
in this world where people migrate/travel freely, no country can have 100% muslims or Christians or hindus or whatever.

Instead of being a better "muslim country".. cant we just concentrate on being a "better country" period?

few things from the above that I have an issue with:
1) banking system is not usury all the time
2) education in own language cuts us off from majority of the advancements in the world (research papers in english)

other than that, I think most secular countries have some sort of control over alcohol/casino/speculation by taxing the **** out of it (Ever tried to buy a pack of cigs/alcohol in massachussts vs New Hamspire? costs half in NH - cos of no taxes).

islamic sharia - stoning of people for minor offences, cutting off their hands is a problem
social welfare for dogs and cats - agree but wheres the money? theres not much social welfare for people in most countries

we should rather concentrate on all countries to make life better for ALL citizens. muslim or not is between the creator and the person.
