Saudi Army and the A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft

The Saudis have recently tested a US-made air support aircraft against the Yemeni Houthi rebels on the Saudi southern front with Yemen. The aircraft is thought to be the A-10 Thunderbolt.
Tactical Report has prepared a 336-word report to shed more light on the subject and tell what about the mentioned aircraft and what about the results.

Actually the A-10 is designed to have very high survivability against the Ack Ack, and in the absence of hostile air forces, it is an outstanding ground attack plane. The A-10 is the best choice for ground attack.
Lots of redundancy in airframe like three spars etc

A-10 is a nightmare for militia like Houthis, one of my favorite aircraft always imagine to have it in Pak army aviation.

I am a big fan of the A-10; it is very unique and has been very successful. I have always wondered whether a similar platform would serve the Pak Army. Maybe a separate attack aircraft evolution of the JF-17, with a thickened lower half, and variable wings ?

The A-10 is being phased out of production because of the success that UCAVs are having and also the F-35 coming into operational duty and CAS is supposedly a strong suit for the F-35 (which I can't figure out how TBH,) and if it wasn't for the many pilots and squadron leaders and even army personnel vouching for it and who hold such a high affinity for the bird and pleading for it to remain in service, it wouldn't have even lasted this long. So they are looking for a viable export customer to support its production line further into the decade. I'm sure the Saudis realize that and if they are truly interested in it, they should bargain well.

Also, if they are thinking of purchasing this aircraft, perhaps they see a major invasion of Yemen in the near future, since this aircraft suits that role very well; protecting invasion troops.

Guys, you didn't get the drift aka the thread title.
Saudis may or may not opt for this aircraft, however the question is if the A-10 has already been tested against the Houthi militants, then who was flying the aircraft.....has the US- Saudi relations reached a new level with American pilots fighting for the house of Saud.

lol no one here is willing to answer your question but the answer to your question is USA pilots and Israeli pilots both are flying Air missions in Yemen long time ago.

Because it's yet another attempt at bashing the Saudi royal family using just another means, albeit a new one in the A-10. Most of us prefer the technical aspect of the discussion, not the usual vitriolic bashing.

but the answer to your question is USA pilots and Israeli pilots both are flying Air missions in Yemen long time ago.

What? Come on, maaaan. Your stuff is usually enjoyably outrageous but this, here, lolzo. Kinda like that one piece of silliness that @dani191 posted a while back about a bunch of Israeli F-15s and F-16s landing in Riyadh to protect the Saudi royal family L-O-L! That was a beauty as well. You guys will go to any shameless lengths!

Besides, no offence to @Windjammer , but the title of the thread is disingenuous to say the least, since it's exceptionally misleading when the title of the article says:

Saudi Army and the A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft

And the article says:

The Saudis have recently tested a US-made air support aircraft against the Yemeni Houthi rebels on the Saudi southern front with Yemen.

Emphasis on "SAUDIS" and "TESTING."

Houthis = House of terrorists

U.N. Panel Finds Evidence of Iranian Hardware in Yemeni Rebels’ Missile. And American.

There is surely a foreign element involved, which is operating under the cover of Houthis.
People who don't want to admit that firing such missiles and running military operations is beyond the mental ability of drugged Houthis, are fooling themselves. Houthis at max are good for killing civilian Yemenis.
