ASIAN DEFENCE: Pakistan’s defence exports have tripled to around $300 million

The above link provides the amount of exports from pak which is about $300 million, I dont know where you got your figures of $500 million.
Somewhere I read they were planning to increase exports to $500 million, its not the figure which has been achieved todate.

POF is just a single Pakistani Corporation. And it Alone exports Products worth 500 Million Dollars.

POF facing financial Crises

In the Article you will find the figures.

And Don't forget this is the export of just a single defence Contractor.

There should be other exports too but so far i haven't been able to find any info.Perhaps due to the secretive nature of Pakistan towards these things.

Hi,
didn't Pakistan supply Sri lanka with MBRL's to fight Tamil Tigers?

WHEN ?. I thought they bought those from India from 1995.
can you post a link about MBRL being supplied by Pakistran.

Does Pakistan makes it own MBRL ?. If yes, then which one?.

Here is a more reliable source than wikipedia..India ranks 28th while Pakistan is not in top 40.Bear in mind TIVs(Trend İndicator Values) do not represent the financial value of goods transferred. Instead, TIVs are an indication of the volume of arms transferred.

Hmm.the link i gave doesn't work for some reason.Just go to

SIPRI Arms Transfers Database — www.sipri.org

click Generate top list TIV tables and search for top 50 exporters

pakistan once exported 500millions arms in 2007-08 i guess

we might export now more..might be around 700-800million USD.

bt after JFT export will certainly go much high

Any Figures for Indian Exports.I mean how much??

According to this site India makes about 12 million more in arms exports than Pakistan: NationMaster - Military stats: India vs Pakistan

It doesn't necessarily mean they're selling more arms than Pakistan but it's unlikely Indian arms would value so much more than Pakistani arms that they'd be selling it at a higher pric eper item. Most likely they're selling more arms; especially with a much larger working force and manpower.

Yea #39 thundercat's thread makes sense . Indian exports might go up with the private secoter also taking up some defence contracts only as far as parts of some systems are concerned. I don't think full weapons systems will go up anytime soon except the brahmos orders which are yet to be placed.

India has larger Industrial base,so i can assume they can make and sell more arms than Pakistan !!!

Well keep this in mind that our defence products r the real things we produce in Pakistan.....

Its so much of great Quality that even its exported to America as well. Even a French CBU bomb is manufactured under licence and because of its good quality of manufacturing they even import the same bomb from Pakistan that they gave licence to.

+ the wikipedia source shared by a Turkish member is stupid and incomplete. It even doesnt mention our exports of Baktar Shikan to Bosnia and Anza I,II and III sales to Malaysia.

+ we exported G-3 rifles and a lot of ammunition to Srilanka to fight Tamil Indian Terrorists.
