Gehlan Jat. Sardar Meenga Singh (if I am not mistaken). There were two brothers who were local bigwigs. One of them converted, left his clan, founded Chak Bamu, married an Arain woman, and went on to have his progeny populate and expand this village. Its a big village today, but by 1940s there were 40 families living there, all descended from that single ancestor. That is how I can guess that it must have been less than 200 years from that time.
