Who are Bangladesh’s good friends in the Future? There are plenty of countries Bangladesh has business with in economic ties, But when it comes to Asian countries. Bangladesh continually promoting friendly relations with Asian countries.

The best friends of any nation are ( should be ) the people of the nation iteslf.

They need to rise above petty issues & see the larger pic wrt their nation.

It's hard to tell that who will be the best friend of Bangladesh.
But I think,most of our people believe china.

Bangladesh does not align itself with anybody except the Muslim world which has a lot of importance in BD's foreign policy. Also BD likes to go by the legal system like UN and so.

Friendship build on mitual interest, trust, link mind and respect. Bangladesh will be friend with any country that has these Quality. If anyting irritate us than it would be intervention in our internal matter.

So far china has been tested friend of Bd however Islamic nations are consider as brothers so these guys have special place in the heart and mind of bangladeshi muslims.

I find it naive for people to talk about what you get in a friendship but never spell out what you bring to the table.

As far as friendship is concerned, you should be friends with a country who share common values and not necessarily a country that doles out all the goodies with hidden agenda. Whether you consider India, China or Myanmar as the country which fits the bill, it will be useful to have an independent foreign policy.

India is one. I recall Bangladesh is never mentioned by NiamatUllah Wali in the countries that will fight India so Bangladesh is expected to fall in Indian Camp and it is going in the same direction.

In the international relationship the word "friend" only has rhetorical value.

Best interest is an umbrella definition which covers a wide range of issues and not only financial.

China(possibly because of its own interest), other option is Pakistan.

2. Can gain much technological knowledge.

"Islamic brotherhood" is not valid even within Islam when the brother is a criminal. Bangladeshi Muslims know, from experience that evil minds can use the name of Islam in a wrong way. So, Bangladeshis are sensible Muslim majority nation who do not discriminate others just based on religion and consider everyone who share its value and trust as its friends.

China has given us much support on infrastructure and military hardware and it has stayed away from internal politics of Bangladesh unlike some other country.

You ask any Bangladeshi about china and the most likable answer would be “a good friend”

You are talking about Muslim being suppressed. Well the fact is that Muslim being killed everywhere from Iraq to Pakistan.

Bangladesh has become extremely anti Islam now a days Ulama-e-Din are being label as rapist, killer and thugs with out any substantive proof. Dariwala, kurtawala and anyone that talk with Islamic principal are being label as Razakar( lose derogatory term in BD).
Islam and conservative Muslims not even safe in majority Muslim state yet you are talking about china.
