@ It is all ready 40 years have passed since we became independant. During this 4 decades we have seen how the things moved. Now let's see what happened in those 4 decades:
1. Initially India, Russia and other Socialist countries helped us in getting our independance and finally we got it. America, China and the Muslim World did not supported our struggle but yet we succeeded. After our independance India and Russia helped a lot to repair and re-construct our infra-structure and tried to keep in hegemony. But Sheikh Mujib as a world Hero did not liked it. He along with the advise of Fidel Castro and Marshal Titu tried to became a true Socialistic country and made "BAKSHAL".
2. The pro-Western element did not liked it so they started make conspiracy how to overthrow the Mujib Govt and finally they became successful in 1975. So, now China, America and other Western countries, Pakistan and Muslim World became our best friend. Soon, our economy started comming up, our rudimentary defence was developed with the help of China, Pakistan and America. We also received some defence items from Turkey.
3. Now considering all sides first of all we have to defend our country and we have to consider the threat from which sides and which direction ? Only than we can consider our best friend. At present our very existence is at stake ? There are lot of doubts whether we would survive as an independant state in the long run ? Or we would be depending on some one closer to us and follow their dictation !
