A white woman who tried to forcibly block a Black child from entering a community pool has been charged with assault, the boy’s mother says.

The mother, Heather J Brown, says the unnamed woman has now been charged with misdemeanor assault on a child under 12 years old, and is due to appear in court again on 20 August.

It's not a public pool. It's a private pool open only to the housing residents...and the woman with the kids is not a resident and was "gate crashing". She was stopped at the gate for not being a resident...and of course made the biggest craziest scene possible about it.

People should go watch the tik tok link above and make their own decisions. I personally don't see her doing much other than dealing with a typical angry mom gate crasher determined to get in. She just grabbed the kid by the arm when the mom forced the gate open.

To be fair, the Housing department needs to take some responsibility in this case. If the pool was private, the Housing rep should be responsible for stopping anyone from getting into the pool before residents take the law into their own hands. Also, the women should have complained about the management being useless instead of taking law into her own hands. But, I can see how not everyone is thinking about the legality of everything all the time.

Um..an assault charge doesn’t automatically equate to beat up. You really really need help. If i throw a liitle potato chip at you I can be charged with assault. I suppose you'll scream you got beat up too.
