What's new

While India paid 240 m for each Rafale, Qatar buys same Rafale at 110 m

India Bought Rafale for Just 90m USD i.e 20 m USD cheaper than Qutar.

.
I really don't understand what all this fuss is about. This is a follow on order where

Qatar
previously purchased 24 Rafales for $7.02bn which is around $300 million per jet

Egypt bought 24 Rafales for $5.9bn
which is $245 million per jet

India purchased 36 Rafales for $8.6bn which is around $240 million per jet which also includes weapons, spares, maintenance package etc.

The recently signed agreement of 12 Rafales by Qatar is a follow on order and India would get the follow on order at 60% of the current price. Moreover, India has 50% offset clause where half that money would be re-invested in India

India bought Rafale without ToT at the 240 million price tag which did not even include any weapons (India paid extra). Whereas the tiny Qatar nation buys the same Rafale at 110 million a piece.

Who pocketed the difference?

lol. It happens only in Indiaaaaaaaaa.

Now this is what you call funny.

240 - 110 = :crazy_pilot:

Lol $240m a piece? That’s super shit. You can purchase FAR superior tech with same amount of cash...but US won’t sell that technology to india so lols @ gullible bhartis

At least once a while try to act maturely!!!
This is the second batch for them hence no much of additional Infra training is required... go loo at the price they paid for the first batch i guess is around 300Million per plane including life cycle, infra training and etc... India is already building additional base for Rafale... When we order additional Fighters the cost will come down...

@ashok321 you're a desperate moron nothing less.. are you enjoying them congress B!tches losing in the elections!!?

The cost of each F-35 has now dipped below $95 million, Lockheed said Monday. The company hopes to eventually get that down to $85 million in a few years.

lol good work Modi who needs an enemy when you have a leader like Modi.

The Indian spin is that India is rich. It can afford to pay more for less. Pakistan should befriend India so it can sell Indians JF17 at 150mil each to boost the economy. And if the Indians do buy JF17, it will become one of the best plane in the world to them.

Now, that is a real surgical strike.

This is a follow on order, stupid.
They have already made a purchase of 24 Rafales @ $8B
Total amount for 24+12=36 is $9,3B = $258M per aircraft.
The aircrafts were therefore $18M cheaper for India.

That is a total of $648M that Modi probably payed Dassault out of his own pocket.
A prime minister that spends that amount of private money to reduce the strain of the
budget is to be PRAISED!

Now, we know that this is not what happened...
The Indian order for 36 Rafale included MUCH more than just the aircraft, and you know this very well.

Oye brain dead false flagger

This is a follow on order,
When Qatar first purchased Rafale it costed them 300 Million a piece,
Compare apples to apples, not first purchase to follow on order

Atleast do some research before wasting bandwidth

LOL 240 million dollars for Rafael WTF. If this is really true. Man trust me this is the biggest joke of the century. Why is Rafale so expensive than F-35 ? This deal is beyond logic and math.

.
Initially Qatar has purchased 24 Rafales for Euro 6.7 billion or $ 7.5 billion.
Then India purchased 36 Rafales for Euro 7.89 billion or $8.7 billion.
Perhaps Qatar bargained citing India deal and french offered them additional 12 Rafales for balance money.
The Egyptians got the best deal at 5.2 billion and additional 12 rafales will now cost them about 2.7 billion Euros.
And if they are selling for 1.2 billions a dozen. India should go for another 3 dozens of rafales.

Indians rafael jets has huge.*** speakers installed that plays supa powa supa powa to the tune of some bollywood song and vocals are of his greatness Shri Modi ki g! Propoganda costs money!

You're Sure???!!!
if you're going to assume things... then go and argue with a teen..
Qatar paid between 250-300 million for each fighters... this is their second batch.
The first batch will always include the costs of INfra setup, training ect and the costs include the life cycle suppot and weapons. that's why its counted as 250 or whatever thay're paying.

Same case for India... the cost of each fighters include Training, life cycle cost weapon and Infra setup... in addition we will be getiing some investment from them.... Actually its a better deal for us that what qatar got

.
May be when india bought it it was new in market so higher price and with time and decrease in sale they have lower the price.
