What do the PDF members think of the Kuwaiti military? Is it a competent military? :-)

Kuwaiti military like their Emirati counterparts are paper tigers , only they get less publication in the news than their Emirati counterparts , also , keep in mind iraq invaded kuwait once , and kuwaiti's ain't stupid people , so they in a futuristic iranian overrun of the UAE , might want to just sit aside and watch

the real question is after iran overruns UAE how will they fair against an imminent saudi counter attack, so algeria is of course quite irrelevant here ..

It's Algeria and Egypt is back on track Saudi Arabia and Morocoo needs to work on buying and building Submarine Force and Morocoo also needs to build its Air Force with at least 240 latest Fighter Jets. As for UAE great force with addition of submarines it would be one of the deadliest force in the region

of course that's just hypothesis , the end of IR might come sooner than israel and many arab states around , and keep in mind the "persian" boys of tehran are smarter than kuwaiti girls , if they indeed take it to the streets the future regime will be of an ANTI-ISLAMIC nature , street smart that is ;) , mob wisdom

Thanks for replying.

I honestly don't think Iran will ever invade the UAE or any other country, for that matter. That's just scaremongering, in my opinion.

The Kuwaiti military has undergone many changes since the 1990 Iraqi invasion, by the way. Also, not only did Iraq have a very powerful military back in 1990, but the leaders of Kuwait naively thought that Saddam would never invade another Arab country.

I know , that's why i said it's merely a hypothesis that the UAE has been the only proponent of , so far iranian expats are helping to land the first Emirati female prisoner on the moon , maybe she finds what she's really looking for there

and i know how this iran talk is cheap babble babble that even israel realizes and comprehends too , arabs like algerians and egyptians are arming against israel not iran

do you really think it can keep going on like this in iran , the shiite islamic golden rage is over , next comes something drastically different , at least for iran , i don't know about arab nations

I think all arab army is weak they have moslty foreigners in their army who are not even citizen of their countries even if they are born there or doesnt matter if their parents are from 60s.. they have to change their thinking.. second uae qatar kuwait saudia sud make joint army to have strong and bigger army.

i voted syria cause they are battle hardened ,
After pulling all the resources together, there are only 70,000 Syrian troop left to fight for Assad. Iranian have around 30,000, Hezbollah and Iraqi Shia militias make up another 30 to 40,000. Afghan and Pakistani shia make up another small contingent of few thousands. Syrian jet are all rusted, 30 years old and are now using homemade barrel bombs.
Most of regular Syrian Army was Sunni which defected. So current Assad army is mostly ill trained Alwait volunteers.

barrel bomb is just another western tongue in cheek to describe the iranian oil barrels who fund the syrian army

if assad gets to win this struggle and isis is indeed wiped out from iraqi syrian levant and flushed down to lybia , then iran gets to put even more troops in syria and right next to israel , that makes up for assad's loss in the short term and god knows what happens in the long term , mercenaries too

if iran have such low number of troops and of course advisers in syria it's because they are scouting them the western trained moderates , and isis / isil , al nusra fighters too , don't forget please that obama started this whole mess in syria , with obama leaving in a couple of months , iran will either withdraw totally from syria and leave the entire arab world in a huge "chaos" or , ramp up their effort in syria and change the entire table around , iran will also change the course of history

30,000 is not a low number. That's a size of whole army division. Foreign Iranian and Shia militia's outnumber local Syrian Army 2:1 atleast. Long story short, Syrian Army is unable to even defend itself without massive foreign help.

If republican won, ( Donald Trump) he is going to attack Syria. He already said it.

i doubt if the republican nominee donald trump is gonna ever make it to the final stage , that's just another lame trump joke you fell for , most likely it will be Hillary vs Sanders

It's Trump vs Hillary. It's cannot be Hillary vs Sanders, both belong to same party and Hillary is the most likely nomination.

You are right in excluding Egypt and Saudi Arabia from your list....Egypt has the most powerful ,trained, experienced and well equipped military in the Arab world...also it has medium ability for military production( which is not there for any other Arab nation).
Saudi Arabia....has most sophisticated arms and financially able to buy what ever she wants form East or west.

As for your list:
Algeria : Medium size army with medium trained soldiers with some advanced weapons but lacks of military compat experience and not open to the latest tactics and weapons.

UAE: advanced weapons ,advanced training but lacks of manpower also Jordan.

Morocco: don't know much about it but I believe it is comparable to Algeria.
But for my opinion Algeria may come on the top of your list.
