There was a meeting of politicians from Japan, China and India. After the meeting, they became personal friends and invited each other to their homes.
First, they went to the Japanese politician's house. It was a huge mansion made of marble and granite. They asked - how could you possibly afford this on your salary alone? The Japanese politician smiled and said, "You see that concrete bridge over there?" The other 2 politicians nodded. "Overrated cost by 50% and paid homeless people to build it."
Then, they went to the Chinese politician's house. It was an even bigger mansion, on the beach of a tropical island and a private harbor with yacht. They were in awe as they looked around. After heading back to the city for dinner, they asked privately, "how did you get this?" The Chinese politician pointed out the restaraunt window and said, "You see that concrete bridge over there?" Both politicians shook their heads. "Its a shakey, old wooden bridge!" Chinese politician nodded. "Paid the construction bureau to change its requirements at the last second while keeping the funding for 'travel expenses'."
Finally, they went to the Indian politician's house. It was the largest mansion they have ever seen, on top of a hill overlooking Mumbai, with gold plated fountains and doors, and even a private helicopter pad. both the Chinese and Japanese politicians were in awe. "How could you afford THIS, even with a bit of, say, gray money?" they asked. The Indian politician pointed to a grassy river bank. "You see that concrete bridge over there?" The other 2 politicians were confused. "What bridge? There's nothing there!" The Indian politician just smiled.
