Sometimes that I happen to be in a place where an Indian movie is on air... I listen to what they say... and here we go... I understand hundreds of words in a 1 hour series or movie... Is it because I'm super natural or because we have a very close history and language?

indian movie are mostly in Urdu which borrowed words from persian, Arabic and turkish thatswhy you pick those words with persian origins. Some persian words are common such as mard, buland,arzoo, mehkhana etc

Btw how much dari differ to farsi spoken in Iran?or its exactly same

Dari Farsi is mostly spoken in afghanistan, tajikistan and uzbekistan... almost non in Iran speak dari... Dari is very different from Iranian Persian... Both Iranian speakers and Dari speakers understand each other %90 to %95 of times... but the overall structure and words and expressions that Dari speakers use in their talk, is very very different from Iranian Persian... Dari Persian is very close to old correct form of Persian languge... by OLD I mean, 1000 to 500 year ago..and because Iranians learn about old Persian in school and through poems then there is no problem understanding them... Iranian Persian has many heavy accents in Iran but the main stream Persian is Tehrani which is spoken in Media...

Eastern people of Iran understand Dari better than Western but at the same time the advantage is not that big..

Dari Persian is almost dead and don't create new words and expressions...but Iranian Persian is a very dynamic language and create many new words and expressions every year... It is very bold these days as older Iranians have sometimes difficulty understanding what a youngster Iranian means!

Iranian Persian has a National Language council that oversees the trend of words coming to Persian and propose substitutes in case they see it necessary... Many current common words were absent of Persian language 2 or 3 decades ago... words like "Sakhteman = Building (previously was Emarat), or "Khodro = Vehicle/Car or Havapeima = Airplane , etc...

in a nutshell, the relationship between IRanian and Dari Persian is alittle bit more than the relationship between RED and GREEN apples.. mostly like a Donkey to a Zebra!!

Most of the Indian movies are in Hindi. It just sounds similar to Urdu, to you.
I think, Tamil and Telugu movies come next.
