Which Book are you reading

I am starting this threat where members can share their knowledge about the books they are currently reading or have just finished. They may share their reviews of books, provide quotes from books or give summaries. I think it will help members to learn a lot from each other's readings.

I am reading "Political Philosophy from Plato to Mao" written by Martin Cohen (Pluto Press, 2001). I will share some thoughts on it the moment i finish it.

Thanks.
I am reading Clash of Civilization by Prof.Sameul.P.Huntington

There are no borders to knowledge my friend. Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Habib Jalib were known for their communist leanings. Even Pashto poet Ghani Khan used to be a communist along with his entire family. Pakistan has a rich political history where a number of communists have emerged Keep it up bro and keep learning, this side or that side it does not matter. We are one ummah.

I have a book too about modern poetry of Pakistan. But it does not have communist leanings that book.

I read that one. It is correct that Islam is so weak and has no core states. Pakistan must rise to become that core state.

i have only written maybe three full poems.. the last one as an angry response to the lady who has as yet refused my obsessive love for her. :D

this was last year when i was with a media company... i ensured that many in the office knew about this poem, heh heh... the situation became like that film song... "tujhko is mehfil me rusva na kardoon toh akbar mera naam nahi hai". :D

Send her a bunch of flowers or something. Also some of the girls that reject you already have boyfriends. They don't tell you thats why they rejected you. I haven't even heard of this book by tariq ali. I wrote a book too about the war on terror, our failure as a state to eliminate terrorists and letting a small problem fester and scuttle out of control. Its fiction but is aimed at a real scenario and based on reality.

The second book is just commercial. Its epic fantasy. However I am searching for an agent or publisher.

oh, this one did tell me quite clearly...

1. i am muslim and she is catholic.
2. she is 12 years younger to me.
3. she will listen to her parents and is quite reserved in some things.

i think no one so openly and fanatically declared love to her as i did, heh heh, hence her nervousness... but i would say she enjoyed the attention, because i was generally a leader in that office and i am, well, not so bad in the looks department.

my being in politics is also meant to bring her to me... she should appreciate the risks i take for her... i will have her one way or the other. :)

haasil is a word i will use in this context.

i know the very song for this situation...
