When you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims: Boston bombing suspect
NEW YORK: Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev wrote a note before his capture in which he called the victims "collateral damage" for US action in Afghanistan and Iraq, local media reported on Thursday.
"When you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims," Tsarnaev also scribbled on the inside wall of the boat where he hid from police during a massive manhunt in the days after the April 15 blasts, according to CBS News.
The twin explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed three people and wounded more than 260.
Citing unnamed sources, CBS News said the note claimed the bombings were payback for US military action in Afghanistan and Iraq and referred to the victims as "collateral damage."
Dzhokhar also said he did not mourn the death of his older brother Tamerlan, killed in a shootout with police, saying he was a martyr, the broadcaster said.
Federal prosecutors have charged Dzhokhar with using and conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction, as well as the malicious destruction of property by means of deadly explosives.
He faces the death penalty if found guilty.
The case also allegedly involves three young students two Kazakhs and an Ethiopian-American.
The Kazakhs Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov are being held on charges of covering up for the suspected Boston marathon bombers
According to prosecutors, the two went to Dzhokhar's dorm room at the University of Massachusetts where they were all studying and took his backpack and laptop and threw them away.
A third friend of the younger Tsarnaev, Robel Phillipos, was accused of lying to investigators after the blasts. He was ordered free on $100,000 bail May 6 as he awaits trial.
A lawyer for Tazhayakov said his client denies the charges against him.
"As far as where the case is going, the government alleges that my client gave consent for another defendant, Kadyrbayev, to enter the dorm room, which somehow created a conspiracy," Arkady Bukh said.
"We are trying to get more evidence in order to intelligently assess the case. At this time, my client is denying any involvement in the crime."
A hearing scheduled for the two Kazakhs was canceled on Tuesday to give the parties more time to prepare.
When you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims: Boston bombing suspect - The Times of India
One thing I admire about muslims is their unity. They stand together and act as one unit.
One thing I admire about muslims is their unity. They stand together and act as one unit.
Maybe that is a factor.
However, Russia and China are two of the major countries with a truly anti-Western stand. We have not sold out to the West, our leaders are not bought by the West, we refuse to join any of their blocs or play by their rules.
If these extremists really hated the West, then it seems stupid to attack countries like Russia and China more than they attack any Western country.
The Boston bombs go off killing 3 people, then a few days later there is a terrorist attack in Xinjiang that kills 15 people. (Not to mention that Russia got hit badly in the same time frame as well.)
It makes me think these extremists are not anti-West at all. It seems more like they are "anti-kaffir".
We are more alike every day. I am agnostic....I don't pretend to know if god is out there or not. But I am a product of western culture, and Christianity was a big part of it. I respect what it has done for our culture....and if I do become religious, I will follow my own culture's myths, not some others.I still pay respects to deities like Buddha, Guanyin, Tianhou/Mazu, Zaojun, Caishen, etc.
I even have statues of some of them around the house, for cultural reasons.
But I don't believe that any of them literally exist, which makes me an atheist.
Jesus would likely be shocked that most sects consider him deified as well. That's what I meant. Buddha explicitly rejected the idea of a creator God, and specifically rejected the idea that he was a God.
But on the other hand, you would be shocked to see how Chinese people practice Buddhism. We worship Buddha as a God (even though he is technically a Buddha not a God), we also worship Guanyin as a Goddess (even though she is technically a Bodhisattva not a God).
Along with hundreds of other "deities" from Taoism and Chinese folk religion that have been merged into the Chinese style of Buddhism, and worshiped as Gods.
You would be shocked. The Buddha himself would be shocked. Chinese Buddhism is polytheism in every sense of the word.
I believe the term is "Syncretism" (i.e. the merger of separate religions and their traditions), and there is no better example then East Asian Buddhism.

What happens if a Muslim attacks a Muslim then where does rest of the Muslims stand ?
We all divide in groups like Shia and Sunnis and start blowing each other up
