What's new

When you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims

That shows their ignorance. Being educated doesn't mean one can't still be ignorant.

OK. But then don't demand continuing generosity and understanding from Non-Muslims if you are going to behave in this way.

Don't say that your are secular and democratic and we are theocratic. So you give us all rights in your countries while we will deny our minorities their rights in our countries. That the "Muslim citizens" of others may turn on their own "fellow citizens" for far off events, the non Muslims should never take any action against them.

Will not work for long.

:) if secularism and democracy are noses of wax which they mould and turn into any direction then we do NOT Buy their argument of separation of church and govt and dictatorship either. Their version of secularism/ and democracy if bases on their bias then ours and theirs is the SAME.

Doesn't matter what you buy or don't buy.

No one is doing it to impress you. Don't make demands on others that you are not doing in your own countries and tribal areas.

And then some people claim that the actions of some Muslims 1000 miles away should not effect "Western Muslims".

You gotta eat your own dogfood.

You can not twist the logic to suit your dialog now ...can you....or should you???

If attack on One Muslim is attack on all Muslims... then attack by one Muslim is attack by all Muslims.

Great points.

Quoted to be emphasized.

You cant have your cake and eat it too.

Let me take you back couple of decades... it was your country playing a virtual who** to west.... but it was ok because they supported your acts against India... now that tables are turned ...you people cry foul...

And when was the last time you saw India not standing up to the west... we will take care of our interests... if your leadership is not good enough to do that... why blame India for that.

About your signature, how does that rule apply to atheists like me?

I still pay respects to deities like Buddha, Guanyin, Tianhou/Mazu, Zaojun, Caishen, etc.

I even have statues of some of them around the house, for cultural reasons.

But I don't believe that any of them literally exist, which makes me an atheist.

Excellent thought my friend... just because you respect an aspect of a religion does not you follow it.. you can be an athiest at the same time respecting the religion and culture.

My family is Buddhist so I consider myself a "cultural Buddhist".

Anyway, I don't think there is any big contradiction between Buddhism and atheism, it is possible to be both at the same time.

Well I do practice "Ancestor worship" during times like the Qingming Festival.

I guess it depends how you see the word "worship".

I light joss sticks and bow my head three times, in front of the graves of my ancestors, because that's our culture. I also own statues and idols of various Chinese and Buddhist deities.

I don't literally believe in any of it though. So maybe that doesn't count as worship in your view (fair enough), then I would just call it cultural rites.
