What's new

When did South China Sea become China's "core interest"?

I am South Chinese, but our ancestor is always Huaxia.

No doubt with it. Baiyue people are all assimilated. South Chinese today are all Han Chinese/Huaxia.
Only idiot want to take back South China

Apparently you didn't get my point - That argument was made in response to you claiming that Viets were ancestors of chinese, when in fact if anything they originated from China.

What fact? Viet are not ancestors of han chinese, and ham chinese are not ancestors of Viet. They are much more different and completely have no relation. Viet only have the relation with baiyue, and Baiyue people are not Han Chinese

Vietnam doesn't exist back in those days. There was baiyue among lot of other tribes and states over areas that you claimed as all your own, but hardly anything can be said about their relations with viets other than they both have the word yue in them. Infact your country name means 'south of yue'.
Yep, "Vietnam" is only existed in 19th Century  From 10th-18th Century they are Đại Việt (Great Viet). From 1th-9th they are Giao Chỉ. In BCs, they are Lạc Việt (Luo yue?) and Âu Việt (Ou yue?).
In fact, Lạc Việt is a part of Baiyue tribes, they have a huge relation with other tribes, such as tattoo, teeth dyeing, squatting, rice farming, scripts ...

'Han' doesn't exist in Qin Shui Huang's time. It is an identity adopted by people under Han dynasty. Han is not a single group of people but everyone that lived under the dynasty's control.
He means Huaxia if I'm not mistaken.

The preceeding dynasty of modern day vietnam only controled north of modern day vietnam. Control of the south was not established until Ming dynasty when the Chinese Ming emperor listed vietnam as places that is not desired to be conquested or uneconomical, besides countries like Japan. Free of threat from the north allowed vietnam's expansion southward and westward.
In other words you took other people's land as well. Should they demand it back?

Ya we will free for Champa if you give back Baiyue lands (we, last baiyue's ethnic, will recreate the mighty Baiyue), Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Monglia, Northern Korea ... Move back to the beginning of Chinese: Xia dynasty:

That part of history was freely available. Have to wonder how accurately your government portrays history though.

The Vietnamese gov and Vietnamese grand historian today never recognize Baiyue, Nam Viet ... or something like that. They always barbarize the nation.
They still didn't recognize that Vietnamese have musket in 16th-18th century.

The South Chinese are not Viets, and we will definitely look out of place in Vietnam, but not in Northern China.

It's the other way round if you want to argue it that way. Your ancestors came from China, not the other way round.
Oh c'mon dont lie to history, bro how many times must I post this link again ??
Hainan Provincial Museum Ethnic Minorities Exhibition of Chinese History

"The minorities of Hainan mainly inhabit the Central and Southern areas of Hainan Island. With a population of over 1.4 million, the Li, Miao and Hui nationalities have been living on Hainan Island for generations. They have worked hard overcoming many difficulties and, together with the Han nationality, have jointly developed and built Hainan Island, and created a long history and a unique culture.

The Li nationality is the earliest of inhabitants on Hainan Island. Their ancestors were from Luo Yue, a branch of the Bai Yue nationality, migrating to Hainan Island 3000 years ago successively. The Miao nationality probably moved in from Guangxi and other places as the ordinary soldiers of the Ming Dynasty, and settled down in Hainan ever since. The Hui people mainly live in Sanya Phoenix Town, and many of their ancestors were from Zhancheng (Central and Southern areas of today's Vietnam) during the Song and Yuan Dynasties.

Chinese has a saying " admitting enemy as father "

The South Chinese are Huaxia by both blood and culture, how ridiculous that you guys wanna the South Chinese to admit that we are sinicized Baiyue, whereas in reality we are not even closely related to the ancient Baiyue tribes at all.

You claim that the South Chinese are sinicized Baiyue, but do we even look like Viets?

Baiyue or 100 branches of Yue. 99/100 branches, including your for-father branch, were conquered and assimilated by Huaxia ( poor them ). Only Lac Viet or Sea bird Yue stood still and becomes Vietnam nowaday.

You were assimilated and accepted as Huaxia, you are not original Huaxia.

My ancestors were from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and they called themselves Wuyue, but they were mostly in fact the Northern Han Chinese who have displaced the Baiyue tribes.

With many massive waves of Han Chinese immigration from Northern China from the different periods, and i doubt the Baiyue bloodline is still significant in the modern South China.

Maybe he is pure Huaxia but his ancestor came there in 1000BC and something like that. Baiyue people can't be assimilated if there is no Huaxia people come there.
BTW, South Chinese today are all Han Chinese/Huaxia. Only idiot want to take back South China, if Viet do so, Viet will have to face up with Huaxia flood which had already destroyed the Baiyue.

Finally, thank a lot for your efforts. But still what we need have not be given. There is still no official map of China during last two thousands year that include the island. This is very ridiculous when China claim to possess these islands but did not include them in any official map. All of your arguments are just based on something like: some people mentioned about some islands in the sea(may be right may be not), somewhere in some books there are some small text, some fishermen used them, bla bla... All of these will not make much sense under the international law. That is the reason why China prefer to use their own law, with big ship and army to solve this dispute instead of settle it peacefully in the international court.

One question of mine has not yet been answered. Why didn't China take Taiwan before these islands? Taiwan is much much biger, much much closer and much much easier to build up large community there. If you know about SCS, you will see that these islands lies in one of the most intensified region of the tropical cyclone in the world. Every year, dozen of large storms/hurricanes/cyclones sweep pass these small islands which makes living in these islands is virtually impossible with the ancient house/ship building techniques.

Viet nam look different from Chinese. They look like Malaysians.

There are still a lot of debates. But it seems that there is a mixture of people moving from Indonesian, who came first from at hundred of thousands years, and people going from the North running from the Hans Chinese, who arrived about thousand years ago.

That girl Elly is half Chinese and half Viet, so she is mixed.

And this girl is South Chinese, and this is how a pure Huaxia natural beauty looks like. :D
