This looks somewhat similar. British infantry bayonet training:

Also this one, watch from 2.50. Seems to be the Gurkhas of Indian Army, Gurkhas are known to be some of the fiercest warriors. The training may look comical but I don't think it really is:

No. There appears to be some difference. Indian one is very funny and comic. I still think that that one is not some training, but some sort of caricature play for fun.

The first bit of the video is Indian army, the second bit where the soldiers are charging bayonet is the BD Army and their bayonet training looks similar to what the British infantry are doing in the video I posted. Also the first part where the Indian army charging bayonet which looks comical but I don't think it is. That's the nature of the training, lot of shouting etc, probably removes fear of charging the enemy, maybe even boosts confidence.

Also look at the second video I posted, seems like the Gurkha are training.

You are right. But I am talking only about the original video of this thread. That to me does no appear to be some somber military exercise.

It does actually look like serious training to me. In post 8 I have used a second video, look from 2.50 onward, that clearly looks like Indian Army Gurkhas are training and that looks exactly like the original video in the OP.

One thiing BD, Pakistan and Indian army have common is that we have all inherited training from British army, so similar things should be there in Pak army too. I will see if I can find any video of Pak army bayonet training.

Yeah bro, I agree it looks funny. But in the second vid where the Gurkha is doing the same thing, I am assured there is nothing comical about it. Gurkhas are highly respected as some of the toughest warriors in the world, they don't mess around.
