Personally it has been a numerous times anyone who had interaction with army officers that army think civilians have inferior intellectual level "bloody civilians" especially politicians but This isn't unique to Pakistan

but there are exceptions.

The army is full of dumbos as is the civilian government

Prime example of why people should stick to their own professions and excel at them. These officers clearly believe in the common myth that a strong currency = strong economy. Somebody tell them that the the Korean Won is 6 times weaker than the PKR. That one USD is equal to 1300 won https://m.koreatimes.co.kr/pages/article.asp?newsIdx=340955

This in not just an issue restricted to army officers although their such behaviour has a far more profound impact on the country. Take that Supreme Court judge example who wanted to build a dam or the PMs who are involved in selecting PCB chairmans resulting in the bizarre scenario of Najam Sethi becoming head of one of international crickets largest cricket boards despite being a journalist by profession. No checks and balances.

Kia batain kar rahay ho aap...idhr hamari poori bureacuracy is woefully unfit for the job.

How do you expect someone who did MBBS, or who did a BCom or a BS in English Literature, to be working in the planning ministry or running a city, after passing an exam which is based on rote learning and filling 20 pages?

Just yesterday there was a fire in H8 bazar in Islamabad. The DC and ADC came in shining suits and boots and stood there...what the hell does that guy know about firefighting?

Actually having just spent 7 years in Pakistan this is what I learnt.

1. Pakistani people do not think independently. I am talking about the educated ones. They repeat what they hear and never ever apply themselves.
2. In industry or in govenment there is no sense of training and developing policies and procedures. The mistakes are repeated.
3. People salute the rank and not the capability. So a person who is a colonel or a headmaster may have reached that position due to to bootlicking or bribery now are respected.
4. Money is worshipped regardless of how it is obtained. There is no concept of halal income.
5. No one does anything but has an opinion and expertise in everything.
6. Religion has been hijacked and everyone uses it to achieve their personal goals be it forced marriages to labelling someone as ghustake rasool to get their property.

And the list goes on but you get the picture. We are pathetic
