What’s happening around Travis AFB?

It is hard to own billions in USA without masking your identity. This thread is a good indicator of that.

Pakistani Americans would have doxxed the dudes who owned. You are not the exactly the humble quiet businessmen,
you could not keep 200 papa john franchises a secret :D
Im talking in general hiding of wealth - humble or not the Dawoods actual wealth is still unclear but they did go down to the titanic and imploded there.

And you know of them due to Engro - do you know what Zardari has?

Papa John’s is a person of interest, hence you know about them. There are many who choose simply not to come out until they hit the political scene. So the wealth is there , just never kept in Pakistan. Not saying there are equal number of Adanis from Pakistan - but the triple digit dollar millionaires and 6-9 borderline or above billionaires do exist and that wealth is a mix of “legal” earning majority for some and then illegal whitewashed money for many.

But in all seriousness it is ridiculous that it is not clear “who” is buying the land near our bases because transactions are more and more traceable and even shell companies can be broken down to.

Coming up with $1 billion rules Pakistanis out. No offense meant
You underestimate Pakistani elites, generals, politicians et al...Pakistan Navy CNS Admiral Mansoor Ul Haq made a cool $100 mn from one Agosta 90B deal back in the early nineties. He retired peacefully in the US in later life.

There was corruption on the deal

The whole deal was $775 million. Between Zardari, admiral, other corrupt officials & French campaign contributions please work out the math

I doubt the admiral makes $100 million when the Pakistani army & air force are starved for funds
