Whatever

There have been some changes in the rules since I had resigned earlier so I see certain ranks when they rate a post or take various actions on it, it automatically goes in the queue of awaiting approval from the moderator. It doesn't mean that your post was censored by Moderation team but helps the moderation team to reduce the total volume of unwanted posts.

Your post was approved as I believe it doesn't violate forum rules but please avoid trolling

Thank you for explaining the process of suppressing non-preferred views. My posts were made seriously, with no trolling. That term is quite often used merely to indicate that the views expressed are not liked by the high and mighty, that is all.

Every individual has their own views and since your post was approved, I don't find a reason for you to challenge the decision of moderation team. The moderation team had nothing to do with your allegation as we already have a right to delete your post if it violates forum rules.

Every individual on PDF was carefully selected on Merit and doing their respective duties very well. So what you have said remains just an allegation

Take care

Sir, I am not objecting to the Moderation. Most of the Mods are doing a great job.

What I am actually pointing out is that the titulars are forcing certain posts to the moderation queue not because they violate forum rules, but because they do not agree with the views that differ from their own.

That is an important point to note, I feel.

Whatever happened to respecting difference of opinion? :D

For example, what authority does the "most powerful institution of the country" actually carry when its power is illegal by law?

A Wrongly Parked Car Stirred Unrest In Jinnah Super Market, Islamabad
Was it right for the affected party to write messages on the wrongly parked car?

It was last saturday 7-8pm i was there. Pretty much witnessed the scene.1915 was called by a lady twice or maybe thrice. They came after the situation was resolved and their office is right behind pappasallis. I.e. 2 mins drive. I am posting this everywhere ppl r saying they shud have called 1915…I don’t want misinformation to spread while we saw the actual situation happen. And this whole scenario continued for one good hour. Where initially the first priority of ppl was to involve the police..seems like they didn’t want to be involved.
Last night, someone parked a car in a very wrong spot in Jinnah Super Market, Islamabad.

According to the people who were immediately affected by the wrong parking, it belonged to middle aged man/woman.

The car was wrongly parked in front of the street next to Papasalis, a popular dine in restaurant in Islamabad.

The way the car was parked, it blocked the only exit and according to witnesses, about 50 cars were blocked behind it for at least 30-40 minutes.

An Islamabad resident had their car blocked by this wrongly car parked. The said party was a family visiting Jinnah Super Market with infants, elderly and disabled.

They honked for the car owner to return but he never returned. After waiting about 30-40 minutes, the affected party went on to the car and left messages on it with a temporary marker which can be seen in the images below.

Also according to witnesses, the wrongly parked car owner was informed countless times for his mistake and he refused to move the car which caused distressed to a lot of people in the area by blocking the traffic flow and making it impossible for nearby parked cars to leave the parking area.

Was it right for the affected party to take law in hands?

Even though the car was wrongly parked and caused distressed to a lot of people in the area, was it a good course of action to punish the car owner by putting messages and marker lines on his car?

Even if someone did this deliberately, the right course of action would have been to call the traffic police on the scene. Islamabad traffic police is available to help out round the clock by dialing 1915 from your phone.

What do you think? Did the accused deserve judgement from other citizens or was it better for the affected to call the police?

It reminds me of a movie 'While she was out' where she leaves a message on wrongly parked car and then the story begins.

Anyways i don't think leaving a message is taking law into your hands, that too with a temporary marker. It must be a decent way to make you realize your mistake and hopefully you'll be cautious next time during the parking.

What should people do if they see someone doing that kind of offence? Of course they will talk to that person not to do that etc. They aren't robots that they straight call the cops. There will chit chat especially on the road. So it is natural to leave a message or have few words.

Some were my doings, moderation cue can't help it. No one bothers going into the details as they are for deletion most of the time, Aether probably scanned them while handling reports. Happens all the time, sorry for the inconvenience.

Ideally people shouldn't be allowed to damage property of even a culprit. But it happens, they serve him well before handing over to police.

Deletion, simply on the basis of not agreeing with content that does not violate forum rules, is a type of censorship that corrodes the quality of a forum, Sir. I realize that moderation is a difficult job, but please do not allow such overload to enable misguided and/or overzealous titulars to censor view they do not agree with. That is all I will say. I appreciate your honesty.

We can't censor one from reporting. Reports made by TT's will put them in Moderation cue, reports were handled later.

Yes, but if the moderation queue is overloaded to the point that posts are removed from discussion for days and days, it is effectively censorship. Reporting a post should not make it invisible to others until it is moderated upon for a final decision. And deletion without any notification to the poster does not let the poster know of his/her fault to improve for the next time. All around, not a good system, Sir.
