Same blood line, the Ukranian language is a little different from Russian. Most Russians will understand 60-85% of what Ukranians say, but most Ukranians speak/understand Russian, as a matter of fact easter Ukranians mostly speak Russian.

Well, that means If I know some Ukrainian people I can roughly say I know some Russians?

I have dated 3 Ukrainian girls in past, but never got a chance to meet some Russians. 2 of them were in aviation industry and one was a medicine student
