What would you like to have in the JF-17

OK Bro, after the day judgment or before ! o_O
ok answer this.
who will pay for R&D?
how much time it will take & that too with chinese help?
J-31 will be in market before your JF-18 get ready.
it would be better to buy a plane from china instead of developing JF-18.

MastanKhan has been been saying the JF-17 is 25% smaller then we need. we have 100 JF-17 in their current size, but we need a bigger plane; and we need alot of them. buying a few J-31 will not change the strategic landscape. we should push for the Block 3 JF-17 to be a much improved design.

As a larger aircraft; using the Engine that will power the J-20 will allow all the benefits of:
1. Great fuel efficiency (when the design is finalized)
2. Supercruise
3. Lower IR Signture (with the use of a IR Reducing LOAN Nozzle)

I propose we built the MDD JASF (Mcdonnell Douglas JAST) design but with DSI Inlets; Stealthier then the F-35
We need range, and capacity/flexibility to once and for all replace the F-16 and allow us to build a design that fully serves our needs.

This also has the possibility of being a very hot export option for pro-Chinese/Pakistan nations and those cut out of buying the F-35.

The first and foremost factor in an aircraft is its design. we are working on subsystems, but the PAF needs good aircraft to give its pilots the qualitative advantage (they need to be able to beat Rafales, F-16s/Gripens, Su-30MKI, and a possible Fifth Gen Fighter when it comes; better to go for a modern design in house and built them in numbers we can afford, then shortchange our fighters with JF-17 minor upgrades that may not be competitive in a future war).

this design should be large enough to fit two WVR high off boresight missiles (one on each side) and a couple center-line bays underneath to fit four BVR missiles

It's now clear that the Specification of JF-17, after an exhaustive research covering all known sources, is more or less the data published by the current PAC's website, IDEAS 2008 & 2012, and Zhuhai 2012's factsheets.

Updated & Valid JF-17 Specifications / Technical Data Sheet

So, what would you like to add to it, modify or any new idea for materials, avionicsand design?
  1. AESA Radar
  2. Advance integrated builtin Target pod
  3. Advance counter measuring system
  4. More composite material to reduce weight after add on or new improve engine
This will make JF17 a beast

All components from simple nut and bolt all the way to avionics, radars and jet engines built in Pakistan with quality that rivals the world. Is that too much to ask?

Bro u r spoken my words J-31 is the best option in the mean time.

I'd like to have this program frozen in favor of j10B-C. And those already built should be assigned the point blank range A. D duties.

By the way why have there been no 3 Engines in plane?
on what military or civilians, in civilian market there are lot of example like Tu-154/55, McDonald Daglus DC series of jets and in military there were very few examples and, they were experimental or medium bombers like
XB-51

300px-Martin_XB-51_46-585_in_flight.jpg

and there were/is no fighter jet or bombers that have 3 engine:disagree:
