Then How America rule the world? It's not tha plane that matters but the pilot who flies it.
.....or perhaps we would have scheduled his meeting with his maker. Then should have awaited the arrival of Rafale and Abhinandan could fly it but then again; fate would have been same or in-fact, we would have offered him biryani as well.
and be shot down with another Spyder SAM... lolIf he was in a Rafale he would not be this close to our jets as he was. He would be trying to get a BVR kill from 80 km out.
Agreed. But don't take away the fact the our guys knew they were fighting with longer sticks while the enemy wasn't. That sort of knowledge makes your mindset positive. It would be interesting to see what happens when Indians have their Rafale, Su30, M2k combo going with the sneaky bisons lurking around. It's all about timing. Who creates a vacuum and who fills it.Well, they still had mini Awacs on their side with the best Russian BVRs. Now its a proven fact that its more about tactics, teamwork and your confidence.
How is Rafale all of a sudden better than Su30MKIs? For years all I read from Indian members on this forum and others was how both the EF and Rafale were inferior to MKI. What's changed?
Actually wasnt even the Bison superior to anything PAF has? Werent the Phalcons capable of jamming every aircraft in PAF or indeed the entire air defence systems of Pakistan?
So whats changed? What will Rafale add? Or is it now simply the new Indian mythical system that is better than anything in the universe?
Some More BS coming out of BS Dhanoa.

Chandigarh: In a veiled dig at previous governments and their handling of defence procurement, former Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Air Marshal B.S. Dhanoa Saturday, speaking on Balakot air strikes, raised a question — “What would have happened if Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman would have been flying a Rafale instead of a MiG-21 Bison?”
“The biggest lesson that has come out in a limited area, limited period engagement is that technology matters. This would be addressed to some extent with the induction of the (Russian) S-400 and Rafale (fighter jets). But what about the responsibility of the people who were supposed to get this technology but kept negotiating for 10 years to get the advanced multi-role jets?” he asked.
Dhanoa said “these people” are equally responsible for not imposing significant cost to Pakistan after the Balakot strikes, in an apparent swipe at civil servants, the previous governments and the defence procurement handled by them.
The former IAF chief was speaking at a session on ‘Understanding the Message of Balakot’ at the third edition of the Military Literature Festival organised by the Punjab government.
He had overseen the Balakot strikes in February during which terrorist launch pads in Pakistan were attacked. Varthaman was captured on 27 February by Pakistan following a dogfight between the two countries’ air forces in which his MIG-21 was shot down.
“Since the PAF had targeted military installations on February 27, Pakistani army has now become a legitimate target,” Dhanoa said, adding that had they been successful, the Indian military was prepared for an attack on Pakistan’s forward brigades.
