What's new

What will the new PM of India do to improve relations with Italy?

What do you know about his predecessor? Sorry but keep religion out of it. Papa Benedetto is nice and kind and has a great sense for humor and irony. He is just much more shy than our current papa. Please show respect.
hey I talked about pope because you said italy has appeal to pope and europe will come down on us like a tonne of bricks (because many are catholics I suppose)... It was a joke on your joke, I wont unnecessarily bring him into marine case, he has more important things to worry about. @Audio

The guns don´t even match the guns used from our military. You can read this also at the official report. Its doubtful that this specific ships even meet and totally different incidents are mixed up.

And yes we have a history of piracy near indian shores.

My reaction to ur logic
:hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

So what you suggest that both sides can go out of this without losing face?

Since you are convinced that the marines are innocent, present an Italian government lawyer to take the case on your marines behalf, let the case run without too much media attention and let the verdict come.

If they are innocent, they will definitely be pardoned and sent back. The law here is based on democratic principles and not run by some tinpot dictator's whims.

So your marines are safe from any bias.

Escalating this will only result in fanning needless attention to other elements which is counterproductive for both Italy and India.

There is a big difference between near Indian shores and waters and in Indian waters. Please understand that we don't allow pirates to come in and ensure that it doesn't happen. Not anyway near a key city like Cochin.

You say innocent, we say guilty.

The simple solution is; let the law decide. We can welcome an Italian lawyer to fight the case for the marines.

Yaar. Kaiko Soniaji ko aisa bol rahe ho. Shes a nice n patriotic lady. Only problem was she was talentless and relied a lot on so called GoM and EGoM. Good way to pass responsibilities. She got what she deserved. Now no grudge.

Otherwise, a good person.

an italian lawer who is not firm in indian law?

Then get an official who is firm on indian laws. Our legal system is based off British system.

So you guys won't be finding it too difficult to find a good lawyer.

But denying them justice is like keeping them prisoners. Because the moment they step out of the embassy, they are in indian territory and fugitives.

Do justice to your countrymen. Let them be free if they are innocent.
