What happen if China and India switch their global position:

beer would be cheaper!!!

Interesting Thread..!!

But even if you switch the positions nothing would have changed!

We don't needle other countries unnecessary..!

How would it be if someone ONLY went to places like Mumbai and Delhi but nowhere else?

Because the news that keeps being posted on this forum about hygiene/safety issues, almost always deals with Mumbai in the first place.

I am from a Village, and I can vouch that Villages are more hygienic than places like Mumbai and Delhi. Anyway visiting only Mumbai or Delhi will make you miss the real India. Villages are the places in India where 70% of Indians live.

India is not all that bad. I'm part Chinese and I wasn't treated any differently as foreigner would.

I don't think the normal Indians have anything against Chinese. PDF Indians can be mis-leading :P

For most Indian, whites and blacks are the only foreigners. India has significant population of east Asian ethnicity. It is very easy for a Chinese to be mistaken as a north eastern.

My Chinese Guy, We would have been doing the same thing to you what you are doing to us ( the worst possible scenario).

Lets say what would happen to the World if India has a 7 trillion economy and the second most poweful military after USA?

Just curious about to know people's opinion. :coffee:

The World would have been a much more safer place. India is a neutral country. Which has never threaten any country. They always maintained a policy of let live and let others live. Even their economy is much on internal development than to acquire the whole of world and become the super power. However in the process of providing basic needs to people and to uplift the condition of its people they are eventually becoming a Super Power. That is the quality of a great nation.
Unlike china which relentlessly for to become a super power and to acquire the world is destroying many countries economy, Balance of trade, massing up its defense force, Threatening up its neighbors, Fudging in economic activity, secretive in its political polities, intensively involved in reverse engineering, stealing other countries hard earned technologies, ignoring the basis values of human rights and free living and developing at a super rapid rate. Which forcing other countries to also do the same and in return the world gets, recession, inflation, poor standard of living, loss of human values and belief, violation of human rights, loss of jobs, unequal balance of trde and commerce, plunder of natural resources. In short it wants every thing of the world but doesn't want to give any thing in return. This make other countries threatened from China.

I must be speaking Mandarin and Chinese-Dragon Hindi.

no, you are wrong.

if India was the rising superpower, the news in the US will not talk about India being a neutral country that never threatened any country. Don't be silly, when has the US ever talked good about its closest rival?

Instead...

The US will talk about India's ties to the Soviet Union and communism, the unilateral military annexation of Goa and Sikkim (don't argue if it is true or not, if the US has even a tiny bit of evidence, and says its true, it WILL be true) and the caste system. They will talk about how millions of Indians are still in poverty, can't afford houses, how the Congress Party's elite are raising house prices and constructing ghost cities even as the majority wallow in slums, how Dalits can still be killed by Brahmins without punishment, how the Swiss Banks are overflowing with money from India. They will talk about the 2G scandals, how India is aggressively expanding its military program against the peaceful, traditional Chinese, how Indians are raising too many cows which contributes to greenhouse warming, how Indians eat too much and pollute the world.

They will ridicule Indian patriotism, asking "you love India, does India love you?" after pointing out how many Indians are still poor, how many are still hungry, how infrastructure outside major cities looks bad, they will even attack the taste of Indian food.

They will point out that India is still a poor country with only a 5000 USD GDP/capita. They will laugh at your English accent. They will find every little fault of your country and ridicule you for it. They will pay overseas dissidents millions to endlessly spam India's websites with anti-government propaganda. They will support Maoists, Kashmiri Independence, Northeast Independence, Sikh Independence and revive the Tamil Tigers. They will invite the Tamil Tigers and Maoists leaders to Washington DC and give them a Nobel Peace Prize.

They'll then be talking about how China, with its ancient traditions, Buddhist philosophy and deep Confucian culture represents a new way of spirituality... of course, in China we'll know its bullshit because our country would be as poor as India today. But at least we sound nice in the white man's articles!

India's rise even now is welcomed whereas China's rise is seen with circumspection. Even if China was lagging behind India in terms of economy - China's rise would still be seen the same way given that it is communist nation with an authoritarian regime and has had spats with countries like Japan and US.

Except the Tamil Tigers were fighting a civil war in Lanka not India.

Isn't it obvious that USA will treat India as her public number 1 just like how USA is treating China now.

India still will remain as a democratic country and will peacefully co exist with countries like Australia, UK, France, Spain, Canada etc.
