What Transpired on 27th Feb. For India To Declare it an Act of War !

New information has emerged that after Pakistan Airforce (PAF) carried out it's operation Swift Retort on 27th February 2019, against Indian air and ground assets, in response to Indian misadventure the previous day, it resulted in Indian government declaring it an open act of war. Due to the Pakistani onslaught, India threatened to carry out missile strikes against Pakistan.
The whole scenario begs the question that albeit Pakistan has disclosed that it never directly targeted Indian Military assets but just delivered a message by striking barren areas in the proximity of Indian Army Brigade HQ and Supply Depot in Naushera Sectors of Indian Occupied Kashmir. In the ensuing Air battle following these attacks, PAF shot down two Indian aircraft, a MiG-21 which fell inside Pakistani territory and it's pilot captured while an SU-30 was hit deep inside Indian airspace. India, however after some denials, admitted to the loss of just a MiG-21. Now the question arises, while Pakistan admitted that no Indian ground targets were hit and PAF only responded to Indian aggression and although IAF attempted to strike at a civilian compound in Pakistan but PAF stuck to it's guns by going after military targets.....then what compelled India to declare an episode as an act of war. !!!! Surely not the loss of an ageing MiG-21. It's also worth noting that India no longer decided to use it's air force and instead threatened to launch missile strikes. Alas it's not difficult to conclude that something badly hurt India

but at the same time it didn't want to rely on it's air force. Later, India or IAF shot it 'self in the foot again by flying the so called Balakot formation.....trying to prove that it didn't lose any SU-30 and the aircraft in formation is the one that PAF is claiming to have shot down. Well this exercise would have been worthwhile, had the IAF gone into battle with only Two SU-30s but with over 250 examples on strength, it was sheer desperation to cover up the loss and in hindsight revealing why India considered PAF action as an act of war.

The lesson learnt is ……. An act of war against India will always go unanswered. It’s easy for the Indian armed forces to kill innocent Kashmiris, trees in Pakistan and the ISI pigeons but when it comes to real fights india always runs away.

Who cares what they think and declare they got spanked like a head master gives to a naughty child in a good old fashion way. Rest was Indians farting as usual and parading captured pilot all the way to Waugh post was more entertaining then the top gun movie just Kelly was missing.

Dude these are some anchors or TTs giving their own opinion.....what transpired on 27.2 is much bigger than this.....maybe someday it will come out in the open.
I was just stating that indian government accepted that PAF targeted military installations and considered it act of war or aggression (the guest narrating that). IDK about the CM strike decision and subsequent retraction.

They have their fake factory mad dog media hand in glove with Modified government to win their wars by diverting attention from real issues at home and focus on what's happening in Pakistan.

everything is already out in the open... what else is left?
PAF and Armed forces for that matter should have maintained some amount of OPSEC regarding the whole episode. Just broad info and how all events unfolded and thats it. No nitty gritty detail at all.

Why do we keep bring one skirmish back again and again. The indians were humiliated, but they learned and moved on.

They have inducted a very potent rafale and we're still in the same boat with no new inductions. They're preparing heavily for the next skirmish and the odds don't look good for us.
Windjammer, you have really milked this topic to its nth degree. I guess we as Pakistanis need to move on and not under estimate our foe. They have added multiple capablities to their portfolio since then and compared to that we haven't done anything worth mentioning.

Don't mind me saying but this is not celebrating thread or still like beating the drum about how PAF beaten them black & blue and all that. At-least, try to understand the question being asked and intention to initiate discussion. Although, PAF didn't even discuss the story of success next day but everyone was back to business after learning from that air battle and started to devise new strategies/plans/tactics while India upgrading. So speaking of Rafale induction is not like the world is about to end for PAF. In-fact, it is kept in sight since the day IAF decided to purchase. The Force that prepares for future in view of all possible threat assessment, doesn't rely on mere looks but reads the enemy 24/7 and prepares like a wolf hunt even though it's a wild boar.

It was the same Pakistan Air Force being quoted in propaganda, as redundant Infront of "Asian Raptor" the MKI, M2K, MiG and jaguars and what not of Israeli/French/Russian Electronics and armaments but shows strength when it was the right time. Now, it is still the same PAF that keeps a close eye on enemy and instead of getting into celebration or partying; working tirelessly and with dedication to keep the edge in quality/Battle Dominance.

Can we just stop portraying like PAF is not doing anything while IAF has Rafale and we are helpless? We are not even fair and doing good for ourselves with such negativity. I agree that celebration shouldn't delude us nor put us on hibernation since we have done something but, those boys were back to business on the same evening of day when they shot 2 IAF jets following the hell of bombing in the morning. It's just too annoying that whenever a different scenario or point being discussed from 27th Feb, 2019; there are messages to relate such discussion with celebration or living in the past. Please, we need to stop downplaying or downgrading topics like this.

Regards,

Initially, they weren't accepting anything claiming that the PAF were chased away and some half a dozen unexploded PAF bombs were found in some field in IOK.....even with the MiG-21 they first said no IAF aircraft lost then that it suffered a malfunction and after the pilot ejected, the stricken MiG drifted into Pakistan.
Also remember how the casualties on LAC were slowly revealed.

100% and he won you know why? as per Indian here in canada and US, what I have heard "Modi ki tu lag gaye the 27th ko likin Modi sirf tumharay PM ki waja say jeeta jisnay hamara pilot wapis kardiya agar woh pilot tum sirf 5 din rakhtay mazeed tu Modi ka jo haal hona tha woh soch hey" I have heard exactly same thing for every single Indian here...... they admitted hamari lag chuki the PAF kay hathoon likin Modi nay pilot wapis karnay pe jo media kay through game khela that was the reason Modi somehow achieved his one of the major goal.
WIndjammer isn't telling the complete situation. The situation was tremendously embarrassing for the Indians. Indians from A to Z were shocked. Modi govt needed a Redemption. The next day, Modi had his Brahmos launch-ready pointed toward Pakistan Airbases. Messages were sent from abroad about India's Intentions. Pakistan realized its vulnerability. There is nothing in Pakistan that could have stopped Brahmos flying towards a fixed target in Pakistan. So IK, as advised by Defence pundits and Top Brass chickens out.

Hardly as You obviously are only aware of half the story.

You must have posted the wrong thread link, cuz there is nothing in it as far as the other half is concerned.

The crisis seemed on the verge of spiraling out of control after Pakistan shot down an Indian fighter jet. [1]

According to a number of reports, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi seriously considered a missile strike in the event that Pakistan did not return the pilot. [2] The accounts vary—was it six missiles? Nine? Twelve? Or was it all a bluff, a threat upon which Modi never intended to follow through?

For his part, Modi has repeatedly emphasized that the threat was real and that had Pakistan not returned the pilot, he was prepared to commit what he called “a night of murder.” [3]

For their part, Pakistani officials also claim the threat was real and that, had India launched the missiles, Prime Minister Imran Khan was prepared to respond “three times over” to any Indian strike. [4]

At one stage, India threatened to fire at least six missiles at Pakistan, and Islamabad said it would respond with its own missile strikes “three times over”, according to Western diplomats and government sources in New Delhi, Islamabad and Washington.

This is definitely the second and complete part of the story and this has been out since quite a while. Which is why i didnt buy Windjammer’s apparent ignorance on this topic.

India was about to committ an act of extreme foolishness if they went ahead with those strikes because this definitely would have spiralled to a nuclear war.

Thankfully sanity prevailed, chickening out or being sane - whatever you wanna call it was for the good of everyone!

Regards,
I read all of your post and failed to find any substance on what “exactly” PAF has done or improved upon since 26th Feb?
I dont have the exact count but India improved on every aspect.
They realized their BVRs were inferior to Pakistan - they bought new.
They realized that SU-30 was not as godly as they thought, they bought the Rafale.
S-400 was before 27th Feb, but its a very potent purchase.

Whats Pakistan’s response to 26th Feb other than the strikes on 27th?

Modi called trump im going to hit pakistan with missile , trump laugh out loudly and called imran khan please do me a favor 56 inch *** holder want face saving please release abhinanadan or 1.5 billion yindus will die with shame

Pakistan's MRBMS were pointing at India. We told them we would launch 3 times as many missiles back and will not stick to conventional war through a third country (the US iirc).
