I know but the point is - the system of governance doesn't matter - it's the results and development.

If army rule achieved results I would not be against it - but it clearly isn't.

The army is just as incompetent and corrupt as every other institution, and that's the reason their political meddling is failing so badly. If it wasn't, we'd be in a much stronger position today.

It's not the business of the Army to run the business of the State, even if the army is not corrupt they are incapable of running a country.

Pakistan main anamoly is that army rule of 35 plus years have destroyed the civilian institutions and it's not that it has made the army strong, rather it has turned the army into a coercive, subjugating hegemonic power not ready to cede the space to the civilian government.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, as said.

And a strong, respectful, assertive judiciary adds to the country prestige and making it a viable successful state.

Any genuine answer in this whole thread will involve suspension of disbelief because it's very unlikely the army does anything to redeem itself. They need no redemption. It's the bloody civilians who should ask for their forgiveness for their transgressions.

But prosecuting and hanging big B will have the most effect. In the long run, purge it's ranks of black sheep and stop fking about.

Leave PDM to us. They are worthless. Don't need the army to work against them. Just do your job.

Army don't need anything cause Pakistani people still love them but youthiaaz hate them and to win them back army must declare Imran Khan president for life and install statues of him in every street of Pakistan.

1- Establish a brand new process of accountability within the organization and make public efforts to weed out corruption. Usual statements like "army has its internal processes" and cryptic statements like "disciplinary action was taken against x senior officers (without naming them)" will not work. Make a show out of it. Publicize it as such. First few quarters will be difficult but in the longer run it will restore faith in the organization.

2- Visibily reduce appearance of armed personnel from public organizations--not every org needs to be filled with armed forces. Restore the impression that Fauj is only here for defence and army officers are beyond a shadow of doubt NOT interested in commercial enterprises.

3- Take severe and public action against individuals (and their families) who are involved in public disorder incidents like that recent one in KHI where a naval officer in uniform was harrasing a traffic cop AFTER his sister had already slapped the poor chap. Incidents like "Col ki biwi" are memes now. These things have maligned military more than 71.

4- Realign and redesign ISPR. Non-serious and arrogant statements like "rejected" etc are highly inappropriate and have damaged military's repute. Furthermore, open involvement in songs/dramas production has backfired--the whole concept of 5th Gen warfare is to stay behind the curtains, not openly take credit and host music shows.

Punjab, UP and Bihar are close by. Please thake them too. After reaching Bihar, why not WB. Bangladesh is right next door to WB. Lage haath usko bhi satak lena.
Then it would be one big Paksiatn. No Rona dhona of East or West paksiatn.

It would also divide India into two or many parts. True redemption it would be.
