5. Same caring for refugees, providing shelter to them (Pakistan hosts Afghans while Turks host Syrians)

7. Same Sunni Majority with great level of tolerance for minorities

8. Both have strong militaries

Pakistanis have NO reason to NOT like Turks, to be honest.

Malaysia is vastly different to Pakistan in outlook and identity. Malaysia is more liberal , secular and generaly the minorities and different sects live peacefully .

most Arabians, half of Afghanis and and many Iranis are similar in belief system to two different mazhahib of Pakistan. Turks can not be any more different than they are, most of them would rather be related to Christendom then to Islam of any mazhab

Turkey has a mostly homogeneous population. Turkish nationalism has base in Language and ethnicity and their rich Millennia old History. Its has seen multiple time periods some when religion held significance some where it didn't. Due to the Nationality being based on ethnicity Turks have not seen any large scale Sectarian violence. Although Turkish Military History is vast they dont have at this time any significant Enemy.

Meanwhile Pakistan is a Multi ethnic country with dozens of Spoken Languages. Pakistan's Ideology is based on Islam and I dont think there is any country with similar ideological bases. Pakistan ethno-religious makeup makes Pakistan a lot more complicated. And we have an enemy 7 times larger than us that presents an existential threat to us. Pakistan is an enigma as far as countries are concerned.

Both are quite different countries with different set of problems and challenges due to their Enthno-religious Composition and Geography.

With population booming in all of the Arab world we will have "power" whatever that means in his situation. Turkey could collapse at any time, or a coup could take out Erdogan which would leave it more or less powerless.
