Bla bla,
sure,
fighting pkk means searching from cave to cave one by one, ambushes, ied's, sometimes it means u have to wait until they fire at you first, because u can't distinguish them from local kurd civilians..
while Georgian army is there in front of you waiting to get pounded, nothing easier than that..
Russian talks the truth. As far as i can remeber that days, Georgians hit Russians 2 times in 2008. Once before the conflict began in Ossetia, secondly they hit Russian military convoy wounding Russian army general.
Russians did not go into close combat. Chechens, Ossetians and Abhazians were the cannon fodders. Russian provided heavy air support, which was quiet effective but also lacked advanced systems. They lost a few aircrafts, lowering reputation for Russian air force.
They havent got UAV's then, they used long range reconnaissance aircrafts, one of them was shot down.
Although they lost more manpower in 2008 Ossetia War, comparing Turkish casualites in Northern Iraq incursion 2008, They achieved their goal. While we didnt.
