man that is the cheapest 4+ gen. fighter available...even new f-16 costs more imo....
if gripen is expensive then how come some people here are already saying that BD is gonna buy F/A-18...

any plane which is still ver good and is cheaper to gripen is MIG-29SMT...but if i had to chose for BD i would have chosen GRIPEN anyday.. hell its my second choice in MRCA also...

Last time I checked out,unit cost was around 65 million dollars.Although we don't have any fear of a ban,like Pakistan has(correct me if I am wrong),I don't think Gripens were actually offered to us at any time.
There was no reports of BAF officials evaluating the AC.

In this case,F-18 Hornet,gets more attention with all those pics and reports of evaluation.Although nothing is confirmed yet.

If I am not wrong the rate of production of Jf-17 is not that great.It will take quite some time meet PAF's demand.
Besides,I am not sure what BAF officials actually wants to buy.
If they want interceptor,then Jf-17 with western upgrades is a good choice.

In case of Air-superiority or MRCA,

its probably J-10 or F-18.

I would like to mention that Russia had offered Su-27s to BD before.And now AL govt. is back to power again,and since they have a taste for Russian machines,who knows what they will decide.


I just hope they don't buy F-7s again.

Some features:

1. Light weight and strong, made of carbon fibre.
2. 4 onboard computers on the move.
3. Great agility.
4. Targeting enemies by looking at it.
5. And definitely built for the kill.

It is what you call is the ultimate Fighter at present.

To my knowledge, the only country that BD shares the boder is with India. So, there is no way any other country is going to attack BD since India will guard her.

If India is not a threat to BD then she dosn't need to worry about her defense at all right?

Oh, please do not equate Tagore with all your GHOTI Bangalis living in the west. He was born in the west, but, his Zamindari was spread in the east. Many of his famous poems were written when he was in the east. "Tal gach ekpae Darie shobgch charie---", "Ja kichu harae ginni bolen kesto betai chor---" etc. etc. We have Rabindra musium in Shilaidoho and in Naogaon.

We have given our west and Tripura to India, but not our Tagore. Tagore's language Bangla is our State language, do not forget about it. You are just another group of Indians who speak in broken Hindi. Tagore is our property.

Wait for another decade, when we become economically strong. We will just snatch away the remaining Tagore heritage from India. Also, do not claim Amartya Sen as yours, he is also ours. He donated half his Nobel prize money to BD.

How come? They will have to cross India to enter their Landscape. One way is via the sea way... Which is a least possible thing... Ground attack has 0 possibility. I'm missing any vital stuff??

Bangladesh also shares a small but important border with Myanmar,who are a real pain in the ***.(Sorry for the bad mouth).

BD is a defensive nation with defensive policy.So we have to worry about all our neighbours.As they will be intruders,whereas we will not intrude their air space.

And to your query about whether all BDs hate India or not:

No.But we don't like Indian govt policy which harms our motherland.
Can't say for everyone else,but majority don't have anything personal against Indians.
