@Kinetic you should clear your definition about wars ,Wars are different types from the one that is doing by camel riders IS or Conventional WW 2 to strategic war .I would say a war is still going on in this part of world. That is not a conventional war ,it is a strategic war .A Strategic war between India and some other foreign powers in IOR for dominance .Naval Might is the real trump card in that war .IA and for a certain extent IAF cant do anything about it .
Now if we failed in this strategic war future conventional warfare would become mission impossible .
You need equipments like P 8i or Kamorta or Subs to tackle enemies movement in our backyard .A F-INSAS or FGFA cant do that part .
Perhaps that is why GoI giving more importance to IN .
Other importance thing is that rigid institutional mentality of IA.
Need of the hour is to equip our regular infantry to F-Insas or whatever its name standerd. I know we cant equip all of them but govt can certainly allocate funs to atleast 3 lakh infantry serving at our boarders as a first line of defence. That can be a game changer.
Exactly my point, we the begger country, begging one country, copying from another and if we cant copy we steal and paint our flag on it...our sovereignty lost and our soldiers killed by US, daily drone attacks, we lost our morale completely...our economy in ruins, chaos in entire country, our kids being killed....
yet still? shame on your morale, 26/11 culprits running free and the one who was jail we let him free to slap you.
even somalia can take us !!
Army got Tatra and Recovery Vehicles. lolFor last few months or even last few years, IN and IAF rapidly introducing next generation weapons one after another keeping in mind their future requirements. Its IN and IAF all over in discussions.
IN: Number of nuclear submarines, Scorpenes started to come, Kolkata class is here, Vizag class in launched, Vikrant ready for undocking, New aircrafts, P-8I, navy is very interested in LCA, naval satellites etc etc.
IAF: Got Rfale, LCA is coming in squadron number, FGFA is confirmed and IAF will get them earilier than thought, next gen AAM Astra is getting ready, Akash inducted in numbers. Full net centric warfare capabilities.
IA: What they got in last few years that is something special or they are planning to get? Artilleries are still undergoing trials for years. What is their plan? What is their future take on few weapons that the enemy will not have answer! Nothing I guess.
Parrikar seriously need to look at army generals and corruption in the army.
May be I don't know much about F-Insas, How do you think it will be a game changer,Yes. not all but we can equip 1/3 of the army with F-INSAS. That will be game changer.
AcceptedPlease the only thing IA needs is to modernise their ASC corps I feel sorry for those chaps
Plus their equipment needs to be upgraded they should be provided better facilities
Yes. not all but we can equip 1/3 of the army with F-INSAS. That will be game changer.
How do you know?I army service corps out of all the corps it is literally treated like trash and has the least budget in the army

No, it is for Nuclear warfare.
How do I know I spent 2 years in sudan intialliy we had travelled with a pakistani contingent we had set up a base near juba it was a month or so afterwards an Indian tpt battalion had arrived .As a civillian observer i had taken part in all the meetings and events that took place .They all agreed wether it was india or pakistan ASC of both countries was poorly suported by the army in terms of logistic equipment and budget and what the Infantary brass at the top did it on purpose by poorly treating the logistical backbone of the army. How do you know?
