Comprehension problem? I said they have been compensated FROM TIME TO TIME - right from Rajiv Gandhi's period to Narendra Modi's Government. This was the latest one - before that they were compensated in 2006 through a rehabilitation package' of Rs 532.20 crore in which each family got some Rs. 3 Lac. Every time a new government comes - they tend to appease the affected ones with some or the other scheme - never mind it's for their vote bank but if it helps them then its good and fine.

Are you suggesting to leave those families without any compensation? How pathetic!

The rest have been sentenced to ten to fourteen years of jail and fined accordingly. The affected famalies have also been compensated from time to time - the recent one being under Modi government.

Hindus and Muslims both were affected and perpetrators were brought to justice from both communities and Punishment meted out by the courts accordingly with respect to available evidence and seriousness of crime.

Neither does India! India has more minorities than the enitre population of Bangladesh. Learn to treat a riot like a riot. I am Muslim and have my ancestral origins in Bangladesh. There is a lot of misconceptions in our neighborhood regarding the treatment of minorities. We live very much normal lives and have equal constitutional rights.

Bhai what I mean to say is that not all of them declined - many will still be the beneficiaries since the cabinet has given a nod to the same and if 17 of them have already received it.
