What if the Subcontinent was ONE country?

when did i say my problem is islam? and no the mughals never united all of india. The only empire to unite the entire subcontinent from Afghanistan to Assam was the Hindu and buddhist Mauryan Empire. What i was saying is the reason for the two nation theory was religion. If pakistan had not accepted islam, there would be no tnt, and no partition. Ofbcourse there could be some scenario where partition occurs for some reason other than religion, but that is unlikely.

so Patel did exactly what Aurangzeb, Mahamud Ghaznavi, and Ahmad Durrani did. And you should be thankful for the brtish because prior to their arrial, India was ruled by the Marathas and Pakistan was ruled bybthe sikhs. If the british had not arrived and defeated the marathas after three attempts(the marathas won the first two anglo maratha wars) you would be under sikh and maratha rule today.

Aurangzeb's rule lasted only a couple of decades before it fell to the marathas. South India was a part of the mughal empire about as long as KP was a part of the maratha empire.
True...but what definition do we use? British? Mughal? Dehli Sultunate? Mauryan? I think geography is best as it is apolitical.

well stated. Pakistan actually has a pretty strategic geographical position, but they shot themselves in the foot by getting involved with Afghanistan's internal affairs. Now pakistan is geographically isolated from central asia surrounded by a hostile afghanistan. India on the other hand lies in the center of south asia and controls the arabian dea, the bay of bengal, the strait of malacca, and large amounts of the Indian ocean, all of which are some of the worlds most important waters for international trade. In addition we share a land bordee with ASEAN, one of the largest regional bloques with a fast growing economy, and have easy acess to north central asia via our allies iran and afghanistan. India truly comes closest to having the best of all worlds.
Nah...Pakistan was forced to get involved. Pakistan had the audacity to come into existence and Afghanistan could not tolerate this insult. What was Pakistan supposed to do? Afghanistan has been hostile to Pakistan from the time Bharat came into being...save the time when Afghan Taliban ruled Kabul for about 6 years.

Yeah I know. They can hate it all they want. But geography is apolitical. What is the definition of Subcontinent of India? A British colonial one? A Mughal one? A ancient Persian Empire one? A Dharmic one?
Geography is apolitical. We can go by rivers instead, so that only Eastern Pakistani is in India....?

I also don't like the arrogance shown by various Muslim dynasties towards the native peoples in India (Subcontinent) and I do not like the geographic term Hindu being now solely used as a religious term.

It is this sort of arrogance that prevented India (Subcontinent) from becoming majority Muslim. It was only due to men like Moinuddin Chisti (may God be pleased with him)(Orthodox Sufis) that many Indians accepted Islam..

Sindh wal Hind just as prophet Muhammad saws described in hadith. The two being based on Indus and Ganges, respectively.

Islam does transcend racial, ethnic, cultural, and geographic lines, but this does not mean we forget our ethnic, cultural heritage (as long as it does not conflict with Islam.)

Hazrat Moinuddin Chisti was a great man, may Allah bless him. We have our own such legends as well like Data Jee Ali Hajweri RAA.

Lol. Another consipracy theorist kutpiece.

No. It was a bad deal. There should have been a total exchange of population.

If there were no Indian Muslims in present India. Then crime would be very low. Sexual violence would be very low. No terrorism. No overpopulation. No riots.
Lol. Feku - you still posing as an Indian... Haha

Curfew on eid, ramzan, muharam and rioting on bari eid

Its just a assumption no need to get serious or dive into pointless debates, we all know thats never going to happen.
The partition saved the non muslim population of India from Islamic invasion. If the parition didnt happen then Muslims would have easily become the ruling power in the subcontinent by now. At least now Hindus have India where they can become prime minister/president and have the ruling power.

This would also have an spillover effect and our Buddhist countries like Myanmar and Sri Lanka would also suffer from Islamic invasion. Muslims would also become majority in these lands and we would not be able to rule our own country.

So in a way the partition ensured that Hindus and Buddhists remain the ruling elites in their respective countries.

CIVIL WAR

Curfew on eid, ramzan, muharam and rioting on bari eid

BAN on Durga Puja... BAN on DIWALI celebrations... RIOTS by PEACEFUL COMMUNITY for ATROCITIES committed by CHINA on its MUSLIMS...

. . . . .
This Assumption could have held true only if India came under an ideology that totally ignored Religion of its people.
If there was no Muslim Nationalism and Hindu Purist Movements where people Associated themselves with their religion in a reactive way and start to alienate the other. That was the reality of Indian Subcontinent. The communal Riots were not "Communal" But Religious Riots.
Indian Subcontinent of Jinnah and Gandhi could never ever have become a single continent.

One Possibility would have been that India had come in control of Communists who would have steamrolled the Hindu and Muslim Religious Leaders and Influence of both ideologies and made it into a unidirectional nation.

The other one was that if This region could have fought its way out of British Grasp like if Subhas Chandra Bose was successful to expelling the Brits from India. Azad Hind would have been a true Secular Unified State where neither Hindu nor Muslim Right would have held any power.

In fact i have to say that it was Election system and Democracy that Partitioned India. A nation under occupation can never decide on vote for its fate. Their was no direction, no leadership, no self interest directed Ideological drive. Colonial powers on top, not bothering for what people are thinking and heading towards. Simply throwing elections on there heads and this was natural.
