Bangladesh does not seek ASEAN membership, even if it does it makes more sense than Sri Lanka.

Not really. Myanmar and Sri Lanka better fit that description.

Lanka is in SAARC?! I've never considered them to be desi. They seem as foreign to the Subcontinent as Mauritius or Seychelles.

Not because Singapore saw Sri Lanka as a threat to its economy, the two countries are of different economic model, SG is trading port with zero resource. Sri Lanka would be no more a threat than Malaysia, Thailand or Indonesia.

Its not illegal immigration, its Indian muslim which made huge stride to make themselves the dominant group in eastern Indian. Bangladesh always will have full support for them and wish them all the luck. We will extend trade and commerce so that they solidify their position in NE.

Muslims in subcontinent will never dominate. This is not middle age and we are talking about invaders from Central Asia. You very well know who dominated Bengal till partition. Though in India there are talks how to increase literacy and representation of Muslims in formal jobs or higher education but the problem is Muslims will never achieve equality with other religions. They breed more, study less and many go to madrassas, keen to take up petty jobs instead of going for higher education. Mullah influence, higher representation in crime etc. We can discuss to explore other reasons.

Though in India there are talks how to increase literacy and representation of Muslims in formal jobs or higher education but the problem is Muslims will never achieve equality with other religions. They breed more, study less and many go to madrassas, keen to take up petty jobs instead of going for higher education. Muslim domination is not in the interest of India. Progress of the existing Muslim population with a check on illegal immigration is what is needed. Of course it is beneficial if help is extended from Bangladesh without illegal immigration. North East connectivity can be improved especially Mizoram, Tripura and Kachar region of Assam.
