PAF also have exchange program with Turkish Air Force. Also as i read a article of retired Air Marshall of Pakistan Air Force before PAF went BVR we learned all about BVR shots through Turkish Air Force jets.Until 9/11 US had asked specially UAE To not let Pakistani Pilots fly Block 60 so our fighter pilots only used to fly UAE Mirages but after 9/11 US lifted those restrictions.PAF is also adviser to a small African country whose whole air force is literally commanded by Pakistan Air Force Officer.

Have read the full article on globalsecurity.org , seriously doubt its credibility and authenticity , looks like it was written by someone like Ahmed Qureshi , Ijaz Haq or even there pen name Christina Palmer ,
Google search showcases far more articles with different perspectives on the conflict and paf performances , even Wiki has differences with the article

Pakistan Air Force Combat Experience

Some people may think PAF has only fought against the Indian Airforce, but there are a number of other conflicts in which the PAF took an active part against enemies other than the IAF. Pakistan Air Force was given a title "saviors of the nation" during the 1965 War. PAF personal have since met all the difficulties to uphold that title. PAF is nothing without its men, and PAF does more than most of the much bigger Air Forces to train the richest pilots on the planet.

PAF has a policy of maintaining a minimum of two pilots per aircraft. But PAF trains more pilots than that. Almost as many as the much bigger Indian Air Force, which is atleast two and half times bigger in aircraft numerical strength. PAF sends its pilots abroad mainly to Middle East as advisors, and incase of conflict in the Middle East PAF pilots performed along with their Arab allies. On several occasions PAF pilots emerged victorious in the air battles between them and Israel.

The pilots of PAF are still making history in the Middle East. Just recently, United Arab Emirates cancelled it's order of 80 Block 60 F-16s just because US would not let UAE train Pakistani pilots on that aircraft.

This tells how much influence and prestige the PAF holds among the Arab Air Forces. There is no doubt that Pakistani pilots fly Saudi Tornadoes and F-15s and UAE's Mirage 2000s.

After the Iran-Iraq war and Iranian revolution many of IrAF pilots desserted and defected to Saudi Arabia. Saudis absorbed with with new identity as trainers, instructors and advisors and buried their F-14 tomcats in dessert.

During the Gulf war many anti-saddam IqAF pilots defected to Saudi Arabia and similary absored with new identities as trainers, instructors and advisors.

These two events combined highly boosted the quality advantage of RSAF.

UAE as a development partner in Block-60 project was obliged to buy 80 jets as commitment they honoured however dog fighters do not fit in UAE air doctrine and UAEAF pilots are neither much trained in dog fights. Therefore a popular rumor has it that they are PAF reserves to be called upon joint defence of gulf of oman. Indian AF has often factored in UAE F16 fleet strength in their air doctrine against Pakistan based on this rumore. Due to ultra secretive nature of arabs its hard to verify anything.

The event was supposed to be secret because defections happened with assistance of americans and they did not want to risk their hostages held by ayatollahs. They burried the tomcats to be later returned as shot down planes just in case the Iranians got really hard with their pushing around.

Is there a confirmed Source for this news ? I have also heard that UAEAF might go for the F-18 SH or Rafale(this might seem more of an obvious choice). In that case, what would happen if US again refuses to let UAEAF to train Pakistani pilots for the F-18 SH ? Also has PAF enough training experience using the Rafale ?

Can some one plz share any link of Rsaf Combat experience?

Routine Yemen Bombing
Of course they do. They bravery fly into Yemen and bomb the Arabian tribes that are not favoured by the House of Sauds.
It is done on regular bases. The KSAF pilots have perfected their bombing techniques and have taken out a lot of annoying nomadic families that can pose a risk to the House of Saud.

Air victory against Iraq
Also don’t forget the exceptional and impressive encounter of a Saudi Pilot flying an F-15 when he bravely shot down an Iraqi Cessna plane during the first Gulf war.
Such was a stunning victory that Iraqi air force never “dared” to field any Cessna plane against the KSA fighter jets throughout the conflict.

The Saudi King was so pleased that he pleaded the Mullahs to relaxed the rules on celebrating and all Saudis danced with joy on such a remarkable air victory BY KSAF pilot made only due to the hard training, experience and diehard belief in the House of Saud. the Pilot was given a solid gold Lota at the Palace and 7 brothers of the kings offered their daughters as brides to the national hero.

Let me know if you want to know more about that inspiring incident. This classic encounter has become a cult and air force instructors cry when they describe this jaw dropping event to the aspiring pilots of the air forces all over the work

Members already said that, but worth mentioning again..If there is an all out attack on KSA..Pakistan will be the first to defend them.Happened in Gulf war,Pakistan sent a sizable military force to SaudiArabia..They are the custodians of our most holy places..Any threat to them is a threat to the core of our faith and religious practices.

The arabis are already attacking us with their wahabi indoctrinated jehadis raised in northern Pakistan.

Pakistan actually withdrew their forces during gulf war as they didnt want to become party in war of arab bigotry.

And since when have we taken idol worshipping?? Shall we make hauman and ganesha of king abduallah and prince sultan because they are so called protectors of our holy places...some people are so drugged with saudi holiness they cant see the obvious.

And Pakistani SSG are only protecting the royal family at the behest of angering average arabian. Therefore the average arabian has turned more india inclined and does not term a pakistani less than "******" I would rather call it a curse..how much a$$ kissing we have to indulge in for a few million riyals of aid while Indians get all the favourable FDI, trade and job placements.

'A friend in need is a friend indeed' ... Saudis have always come to our help and this flood disaster was no exception , whilst even two brothers don't agree on everything Saudis have given us alot more then what we have given them . While we call Shah Abdullah , a dictator and american stooge the fact remains that he is one of the best friends Pakistan has.
