What's new

What do you smoke?

Ever tried bidi ???? lmao man these thing taste horrible and they just kill your throat !!

but they are easy to find when you are back pack tourist in remote parts of India. Tried them a few times - you find them commonly with Israeli tourist because this stuff is cheap and taste horrible.

We had a Baloch cleaning woman who would have this stuff on her. Was fascinated by it as a kid. But haven't heard of it since... Who does it now: hasn't beedi been substituted by cheap cigs [read: Morven Gold, Malboro Lights, K-2, etc etc — they all smell so bad!]

bidi are alright substitute. they will kill your hunger for smoke, specially when you are in hills in middle of nowhere - or biking in india at night - you find bidi with anybody and everyboyd - ask them and they give you without hasitating.

because it cost you 2 rupee for 15 i guess . but it does kill your throat - specially when you riding on highway with less than 5 degree temprature and highway dhaba food in your gut.

but its fun smoking bidi with locals sitting around fire and telling them who and where you from and where you going and asking them new places.

its even more fun with some foreign bikers who are always ready to experiemnt - may it be simple bidi or bidi with malana .
local cigar as they call it .

I have never had my hunger killed by any smoke :(

Probably, we should get the title changed to "what and where do you smoke?" The majority of the Pakistani female population that smokes does it in (no surprises here) the public loos and then their rooms. Have always been annoyed when you enter a public rest room, go into the cubicle and by the time you get out you are stinking with the former occupant's cig. smoke. And when it's K-2....Yuck!

Of course, Spearmint is every female smokers' companion :)

In delhi smoking is not a big fuss for females , But yeh no smoking in front of parents , drinks alright but no smoking. and yeh loos are always filled with smoke - specially in colleges - go to any delhi uni campus or iit or any other private institute. you find ciggi ***** all over the floor.

i think most students smoke in campus too, althought u cant get ciggis in certain 100 mtr around campus . lol

for every teenage - sharing is caring.

for every teenager - sharing is caring....

Funny, never even once tried to smoke when I was a teenager. Never equated it with "coolness" unlike many others.

Smoking in front of parents is a big no-no for even guys yara, know of boys who have been caught out by their mums, who then refused to speak to them. Becharas, i know two who actually seriously quite smoking because of the home situation.

I think you were trying to say b-u-t-t-s there ;)

I remember being caught atleast 6 times by dad......he had a habit of checking my bag(that used to burn me head to toe with anger).....he found ciggerrette packets in my bag....man, after that a horrifying session followed.....

I smoke Benson and Hedges, have been smoking it since my days in O Levels. Its a horrible habbit but nothing gives me more pleasure than smoking a cigarette, just reminds me of my old days during O Levels when we used to go to a small pan shop besides our school and buy 1 or 2 cigarettes :D

Any one interested in a support group for chain :smokin::smokin:smokers?:undecided:

Ahem, ahem, support group for what?:disagree:

I think you mean shisha rather than the traditional hookah. Flavoured tobacco pipes aren't my deal, the aromas go the head. In Karachi, you have a shisha place in every nook and corner — some are unimaginably dingy and not surprisingly visited by teenage boys. Hookah Bar (hehhehehhe, we have one too in Karachi) and Cafe Yark compete for the dingiest/shadiest place I have ever been to title.
