You see, the way Hinduism evolved is through logic and counter-logic and it has evolved with time along with the people.There are different schools of thoughts.I know about six of them which are again sub divided into many other schools.They have their own explanations of the Hindu way of life,Sanatan dharma and they have their own ways to attain the ultimate goal,to have peace.
You have to understand a subject ,at least some part of it,before you start making judgements.You are merely scratching the top here.I suggest you do some reading before making assumptions.After you go through the different sets of logic given by different philosophers,all of them may start to seem right to you.And this is the best part.The Hindu way of life gives you the freedom to choose your own way,your own destiny.This is what makes Hinduism unique.There is no absolute authority in Hinduism.Another salient point which gives imparts tolerance to it.
