WHICH GENERATION?Traitors ... humiliation !
Each respondent to this thread is giving their thoughts. Non has carried out a survey so each post here has the power of one. So my reaction was my thoughts. I am not 200 million people.WHICH GENERATION?
Regardless of what happened, we will prefer the Bangladeshis to the Indians this is true.Regardless of what happened, being a Muslim nation, we'd support Bangladesh over Hindustan any given day.
15-20% of hindu population in Bangladesh hated Pakistan creation..the fact that they were the intellectuals and nationalist also paid a roleBangladesh is fundamentally a Pakistan hating nation. It is part of the Bangladeshi nationalism to hate Pakistan. Although officially Bangladesh is friendly to every nation but in reality Bangladeshi nationalism is based on anti-Pakistan sentiments.
Geographically Bangladesh is far away from Pakistan. Bangladesh has literally only one neighbor. India. If Bangladesh has no relation with Pakistan ( There is none except history) there would be zero effect on Bangladesh or Pakistan. So nobody cares about any relationship between the two nations.
There is a pro-Pakistan mainstream party in Bangladesh. It is Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). It is now in crisis because of its corrupt leaders and controversial leaders like Tareque Zia and others. Even if this party again comes in power the other party Bangladesh Awami League will make sure Bangladeshis hate Pakistan to core for the rest of Bangladesh existence. Awami League is openly pro-India party. Its fundamental policy is to improve India-Bangladesh relationship and make pro-India atmosphere in Bangladesh. The other party BNP wants Bangladeshis to hate India more and have less bitter towards Pakistan but due to Awami League activists BNP is still not successful in their mission to make pro-Pakistan atmosphere in Bangladesh.
Don’t think often about them as a whole honestly.
They are everywhere on PDF along with Indians, so they get attention for themselves here.
I have some good friends from Sylhet in Bangladesh, but they make it known to be that they are not like other BD people and support Pakistan.
In the West, the younger religious generation is totally influenced by Pakistanis whom happen to be most of their friends.
Some of the recent immigrants from BD hold very anti-Pakistan views.
I noticed one strange phenomena, the darker they are, the more Anti-Pakistan they tend to be.

The older folks despite the war of 1971 has no ills or qualms about Pakistan I noticed that but the younger gen and recent migrants are like anti-Pakistan and yes they are darker
My parents hailed from Sylhet. We are ideologically close to Pakistani than other part of Bd because of our love for Islam. We place Islamic identity over national or entnic origin.
Hindus plus secular Bengalee nationalist.

Dark people are everywhere including Pakistan. Color of the skin is god given and should not be discriminated against.
Watch Pakistani comedy show Hasb e Haal and you know what I mean.
New Recruit
Yes, interesting to learn that Sylhet used to be part of Assam and they have a high degree of Arab, Persian, Turk, and Pukhtoon blood.
That's because they mixed with the Tibeto-Burmese peoples of NE India. Not sure that all of them are ethnic Assamese or Indo-Aryans or not.[/QUOTE]Assamese look more Asiatic but dark
