What changes do you want in our education system ?

1. Montessori to 6th standard must be coed.

2. All b.sc/b.a courses should be replaced by B.s only (happening in KP thank God).

3. Papers should be conceptula. For that, one can go with increasing mcq's part to atleast 50% from curremt 15%.

4. Passing marks should be 50% instead of current 33%.

5. Admissions in all schools colleges must be online. (Done in KP for colleges. Should be extended to schools too).

6. Teachers salary should be directly proportional to students performance and teachers attendances.

7. Just like in universities, quizes assignments should be taken and its marks included in final result. Means 40% of marks in teachers hand and 60% in boards.

8. Every student and teacher should have online portal just like universities have. Which can be used by teacher to keep performance record, attendance and quizes sessional marks of student online. Which can be accessed by parents as well as board while they compose results.

9. An online library which have all the relevent material ( in writem as well as thtorial videos form) so that students habe access to it and can consult those materials for free insted of buying books and paying heavy tution feeses.

we do not need factories of engineers and doctors.

We need nation building and ethics.

When I did my 10th (1987) we had only three options. Accounts, Economics, and Technical Drawing as the 6th subject choices. So as I wanted to become a doctor, technical drawing was out. Economics one had to write a lot. So I chose Accounts. And did quite well too (Parsis and money are a lethal combo ....)

12th one gets pigeon-holed right at the start into Commerce, Arts or Science streams. In Science one either drops Maths or Bio. I took Maths (but the marks are not counted towards your final percentage if you are in the Medical stream).

According to my view, education should be co till intermediate level and after that too.

In Pakistan education I hate one thing the most is rattay. The teachers expect you to fill up the entire books and also use supply/extra booklets to fill them up.
In USA, it's all about your understanding. They check your thoughts too when you answer some question.

Another thing that I would like in Pakistani school is that they have sex education and family planning, the students should have the knowledge of destruction caused by high population.

Food with required amount of nutrients should be available free of any charge for every student.

All education should be co.

Students should be allowed to participate in talk shows and debates, because most of the Pakistani students are still acting as kids until they reach 25 or so. Majority of Pakistanis dont start working until late 20's. Main aim should be to help students open and expand up their brains and think on their own. Debates and practically working themselves will help expand their brain fast.

a cheap option is to promote online classes for subjects and upload video of class lectures so that students who not afford school fees can learn at home.we should promote virtual universities for basic learning and for practical application of knowledge all students should be allowed to practice in labs of nearby college or university for experiments.we should promote and upgrade our labs and practical experiments more than theory so we get good scientists

Please give your points what changes do you need in our education system ?
What do you think is wrong in it and what can be done to make it better .

I want these changes ;
1- Either make all schools in Pakistan English medium or Urdu medium . The difference of languages is creating problems for students especially to those who study in urdu medium and then switch to English in their later college or uni life .

2- Our courses are outdated , we are reading same things since 10 years in pak studies and other subjects , we need to modernise it .

3- There should be concentration on sex education too so that our students develop such differences in their later life and knows how to react to molestion , harrasment and rapes etc .

4- Admission fees , that range to fifty thousand or thirty thousands really make me sick in the private institutions . Private schools should re consider their admission fees and monthly fees .

5- We should be encouraging debates between students on the social issues so their minds are opened and they dont fall for conservative propoganda.

6- Sports should be compulsory for every student. It shouldnt be optional .

A lot of my ideas are from the PTI manifesto.

1. Urdu and English should be taught as languages from day 1.
2. All official textbooks and teaching material should be in Urdu.
3. Teaching should be supported by the mother tongue, there is no need to be pretencious about speaking only Urdu in class. The aim of science class is to teach children science - not to make it a platform for urdu language.
4. local langauges should be taught as an option in secondary school.
5. Rote is not a means of learning, it is a means of memorising.
6. Teaching to the test should be abandoned.
7. You should adopt PHSE classes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal,_Social_and_Health_Education These could be adapted for local use in Pakistan, include ethics and be sessions which are taught at least 3 times a week. It should be graded only as pass/fail and should include assignments, not exams. It is meant to be learning for the sake of it, not for exams.
8. Higher education content should be translated and taught in urdu as well as english.
9. we need non academic career choices in schools. school finishes at 16, but full time education or training should not finish until 18. You can either go to college, or go into an apprenticeship. Anyone who hires anyone under 18, should have to train them in their field of work - no kids should be day labourers.

I wanted to have an insight of the changes that public needed in educational system.
